Re-listed due to non-payment. 1995 Caprice 9C1 – California & Arkansas Car - 98,000 Miles LT1 V8, 20+ mpg, A Real Beverly Hills CA Cop VIN: 1G1BL52P6SR155022 I am offering for bid my increasingly rare 1995 Caprice 9C1 w / 98,000 miles. I am the second owner & purchased it a few years ago from the original owner, who was the City of Beverly Hills, CA. (Yep, a Beverly Hills Cop!) The Beverly Hills PD originally purchased the car as a black and white and soon thereafter converted it into a detective’s car. They removed the spot lights and rear seat cage, then painted the car, including the mirrors, DGM (dark green metallic), and then parked it for 10 years. The major concern for a patrol car is excessive idling, however, the switch to detective work must have been early on, as the compression is still excellent, and there is no excessive valve wear that I can detect. Cold air, hot heat, this car is a sleeper that run’s fast but looks stock and gets over 20 mpg on regular! A poor man’s SS. I waited a long time to find this car, and have enjoyed it, so why am I selling it ??? Three reasons: 1) No Cruse: My leg muscles are now prone to cramping, so this is more than an annoyance for me. 2) Three Daughters: All in college. Nuf said. 3) Got another project car, so it’s time to move on. What is Right: This car features a GM classic; the Corvette sequential port fuel injected 350 LT1 V8 motor, 10.1 compression on regular gas, 260 hp / 330 torque, electronic control heavy duty 4L60E transmission, heavy duty service package that includes oil, power steering and transmission coolers, twin electric cooling fans, green silicone lifetime hoses, 4 wheel ABS disc brakes, 3.25 posi rear end with an 8.5” ring gear, front and rear stabilizer bars, special balanced drive shaft, heated electric mirrors, front and rear seats upgraded to the tan leather Pontiac Bonneville set, with power driver’s controls on the door, power windows and locks, interior cop light (which I originally thought ugly, but is very handy), single key system (really nice!), AUX fuse block @ 20A per connection for you high power stereo folks. And, as I am paying extra for this, please CLICK the VIN above to view the free, and clean, AutoCheck report. Goodies I have added: • KYB GasAdjust shocks • Smog pump delete. (legal on this car) • Export pipes. I am including the original CATs. • Brian Herter programing. What a difference this makes! (PCMforless.com) • Matching S10 center console. (Idea thanks to “Roadmonster”!) • Unlocked, remanufactured factory SS AM/FM/CD stereo. The factory unit has plenty of power, auto EQ and ....... I can actually see and use the big buttons. • Sony Xplod speakers: 6”x 9” rear, 6 1/4” front door speakers in custom mounts, and Kicker Super-tweeters in the old spotlight holes. • 15" American Racing Wheel mag style wheels, with a fairly new set of Michelin XSE rain tires (about 60% left). What is Wrong: I have provided pictures of the problem areas: 1) NO CRUSE. 2) Holes in headliner and dash where equipment and restraint bars were. Rest of headliner is very nice. 3) Paint is still good, but is flaking around door edges, showing some white. 4) Passenger’s rear window lift need plastic rollers replaced, motors work fine. You can get the parts @ Auto Zone for $5 a set. 5) Driver’s front fender was pushed in. A local shop quoted $250 repair. (see pictures) 6) Driver’s side exhaust manifold gasket needs replacing. A little noisy for the first 5 sec. until it warms up. Will need to be replaced. 7) Steering wheel and driver’s seat show wear.8) Gas gauge is inaccurate. Condition Report: PAINT: As the pictures show, the paint is nice and shiny except as noted above (there is no wax on the car in these pictures). Plastic bumpers are in great shape with no cracks or deep scuffs. Undercarriage is very solid, with little rust. INTERIOR: The interior is very nice. Dash, new heavy carpet and liner, seats, door panels, and headliner are above average, except for the holes I mentioned. Very nice interior overall. Nonsmokers' car. ELECTRICAL: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) All the power stuff works - power windows (rears work, just need the runners), locks, drivers power seat, heat & cold A/C, AM/FM/CD premium sound, tilt wheel, heated power mirrors, NO CRUSE CONTROL, trunk release. DRIVABILITY: Drives great! Steering and suspension are tight, KYB gas shocks. Brakes work well with good linings, and no vibration or noise. Tires are a matched set of Michelin XSE with about 60% tread remaining. Terms of Sale: I will require a $500 deposit by overnight mail or PayPal within 48 hours. Balance two weeks, cash, check (it will have to clear) or cashers check. If you want to use PayPal for the total, you will have to pay the 2.9% premium, but this get’s you buyer protections. I'll pick you up at the airport in Little Rock or Ft. Smith if needed. NO sales tax for out of state residents. 30 days to pick up. I am NOT a dealer, and cannot recommend a transport service. But, I surf the web a lot and prices seem to run between $500 to $1,000. I personally use Webster Relocation Inc., which is down the road from me, with good results.
