Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1967 Triumph Bonneville custom Bobber. The bike had a little over 8k miles before the build and less than 250 miles since completion. The motor has been professionally rebuilt from the sludge trap up including new bearings, seals and .02 over pistons and bore. New 930 Amal carbs were also installed at time of build. The custom hard tail was built by Elswick cycles and has a 6” stretch and 2” drop. I am including a custom aluminum rear fender specifically made for the wheel and tire combination. I upgraded the front wheel to the twin leading shoe of the 69 series for better braking. Front forks have been totally rebuilt with new tubes, seals, and bushings. Tank has been steam cleaned and epoxy coated. Wires are clean and neat with a “through frame” installation. Other features include a custom battery box, Larosa deep leather seat, custom headlight and may other small custom details. There are a lot of hours into this build and it rides very nice and looks great. Break in miles have just been completed and valves readjusted and head re torqued. I could not decide on a paint color so I left it in red primer which honestly looks really good. Keep it as is or paint it, your choice. The bike does not leak from sitting and push-rod tubes nice and dry. I have noticed that after a long ride there is some seepage from the primary cover at the sprocket. It could be at the stator wire inlet or the clutch seal. Not major and I have not investigated further but will try and remedy this before the end of auction. I have inclosed a short video to show a little more detail. Please excuse the quality, it's an iPhone video. Please call with any questions. Ask for Anthony. 269-469-4281 Notice: If you don't have the money, don't bid. If you have questions, ask. I will do my best to answer. If you have less than a 10 rating or more than 3 negatives in the last 12 months, you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. THANKS FOR LOOKING. . On Jun-24-13 at 05:48:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about matching numbers. The rebuilt motor currently in the bike is not the original. I do have the original matching number motor which is in very good running cond. I will include this motor with the sale if I get what I want from the auction or sell separately to wining bidder if they are interested. I will be happy to send photos of the motor. The bike has a clear title in my name. On Jun-29-13 at 17:31:01 PDT, seller added the following information:Per numerous requests, here are photos of the original matching numbers motor. I removed the primary case and rocker boxes simply for inspection. If the auction reaches $7k or higher I will include this motor with the sale of the bike.
