Up for sale is a red 1963 Corvette convertible. I'm selling this because I'm going to college and can no longer afford it. The frame and birdcage is absolutely rust-free. Try finding a 1963-1982 Corvette without rust. Good luck, they are getting harder and harder to find. This car spent much of it's life in Texas. I still have the Texas plates from 1986 and the insurance card. The NOM Chevy small block engine runs great but the car won't shift smoothly. When you try to change gears, it's very difficult to get to the gear that you want. This happened after my brother pulled the transmission to replace the clutch - it shifted fine before. I was told that it might be the transmission linkage but I am not a mechanic, so I can't say for sure. The previous owner put the new top and carpet in the car. Car also has completely brand new exhaust from the manifolds back. My brother started to detail the passenger's side fender, which can be seen in the pictures. He did not do the detail work recently (about 2 months ago), the paint does look that good. It is not just the fillers in the polish. The car could use some minor body work to be a nice looking driver. The convertible top frame needs minor adjustment because it won't close down all the way (1/4"). As the car is 50 years old it does need finishing touches in most aspects, but the car is structurally solid and will make a great driver with minimal work.
