This 1964 Corvette Convertible has undergone an excellent body off restoration. This great Corvette is in the original color combination of Ermine White (936 AA) with Red Vinyl (490 AB) Interior. It has the original 327ci 300hp engine with the original 4 speed transmission. This is a numbers matching car. The numbers will be listed below. This Corvette runs and drives perfect. The car just received a tune up with new plugs, points, cap rotor and condenser. The underside of the car was completely detailed and cleaned. The frame is very straight and there is no rust anywhere on this car. The rear bumpers have been re-chromed. The compression test was done recently on the car and the compression was excellent. A compression test was done on the car and the results were as follows: Cylinder 1-180psi; 3-185psi; 5-195psi; 7-180psi; 2-185psi; 4-185psi; 6-195psi; 8-185psi. This is a matching numbers car. There are a few small chips touched up from regular driving, but the paint is excellent and looks great with the red interior. The car was recently buffed and polished. Chrome: The chrome and stainless are excellent on the car. The front and rear bumpers are beautiful. The windshield frame is also very clean and looks new. The chrome knock offs look excellent as well. Interior/Top: The interior is in great condition. The seats show very little wear. The dash looks new with no cracks or discoloration. The carpeting looks newer and is very clean. The driver side door interior handle has a small bit of plastic that is broken. The steering wheel is in excellent shape. The radio does work and all gauges and controls work as well. The top storage area carpet is also very clean. The top is not brand new, but not old and tired either. Wheels/Tires: The original knock off wheels are in excellent shape. Only 806 1964 cars had original knock offs and we understand this is one of them. The tires are also in good shape with plenty of tread remaining. Underside: The frame is excellent. It is very straight and detailed. The entire underside is very nice and detailed. Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is detailed and very clean. The paint on the block is in great condition. Overall this is an excellent engine compartment that has been completely detailed. Overall: This is a higher end driver for someone to enjoy. It is probably not a trailer queen that has never been driven and not priced that way either, but it is a matching, correct and original restored car. It is finished in one of the more attractive and original color combinations of Ermine White with Red Vinyl interior. Everyone who sees this car, loves the color combination! Furthermore, this car runs and drives perfect. It is effortless to drive and has a lot of power (the 327 300hp engine had the most torque of 360 lbs ft, of any other engine of this year). This great Corvette can be driven anywhere with a very strong engine. Several cars are listed as “matching numbers”, but this car is the real deal with matching numbers and priced very fair for its condition and authenticity.
