Here you have a Survivor a 95% original 1970 FJ40 Toyota Land cruiser. Original rust-free. Factory seats, seat belts, dash, visors, cranks, gauges, 145F motor, 3-speed transmission, exhaust, hardtop, glass, body, fenders, tub, doors, hood, hatch, frame, weather stripping, jump seats, emblems, etc. This is a two-owner car all kept in the family. With the last owner for 17 years. Original FJ40 with California vehicle registrations dating back to 1990. Used very little over the last 3 years. Starts, runs, steers, drives and stops great, looks beautiful. This is an exceptional example of a clean, rot-free/cancer-free 95% original 1970 California FJ. We have no snow just a beautiful dry climate. Presentable condition with beautiful 43 year patina that includes mild chips, scratches and surface oxidation. Excellent lines, seams, gaps and joints, ready for a new owner to admire, drive, show and enjoy. Built in July of 1969, this FJ has spent its entire life in sunny California. Clean/clear california title. Other than described, vehicle components are in good working order including- Turn signals, head lights, hi/low beams, brake lights, brakes, parking brake, windows, wings, cranks, door locks, vents, transmission, motor, wipers, alt, temp, oil gauges. Tires have 90% of tread left. 4wd unit works fine. A fabricator with fine craftsmanship skills built the front and back bumper. The front bumber is an enclosed tube and not just a c channel. It has a thick mounting plate for bolting on winch and bolt threads threaded into the bumper for bolting down license plate etc.. . This FJ has not been reconditioned so some factory items will need attention. When placed in storage 3 years ago speedometer worked fine but now it works sporadically so it will need some attention. Original factory seals around doors and seams will need to be replaced. Windows crank up and down but tracks will need adjustment or refurbishing. Very reliable and turn key and can be enjoyed as is.
