I am selling because I will not be able to start it as I have too many other projects It appears that the original wire harness has not been messed with and the additional wires are speaker and stereo wires. The front apron appears in good shape except for the sound deadener that was sprayed in there. The only fender bender that ever happened was to the right front fender. The original owner was getting it ready for the transporter to look it over before he shipped it to me. As the previous shipper was doing the walk around inspection he noticed the car started then started to roll. Well, the previous owner had started the bug while he was standing outside the bug and it was in gear. Bug rolled away and turn made it onto a front yard and came to stop after hitting the right front fender on a pine tree stump. It wasn't bad. I was able to use a hammer and dolly and get it straight. It did reveal the original bahama blue paint on OG fender.. All the glass is intact and top works smoothly up and down latching perfect. It does have typical rust for convertibles which is located to both rockers. The passenger door hinges sag; appears hinges will have to be secured on that side. Driver's side is fine.The brakes work great, horn and lights, tires look good and top has small tear, approx 2 inches which can be sewn up pretty easy. The seats are not correct for the bug as they are later model seat. I do, however, have a set of nice lowback seats from an oval. It has the correct rear view mirror but does not show visors. I do have a set of new visors that go with bug. Please, be aware that the mileage that is stated on listing is not accurate. I was unable to leave it blank.
