FOR SALE: 1997 SAAB 900-SE TURBO CONVERTIBLE. This convertible is my own "baby". If you are not already a Saab lover, this will make you one. If you look on-line and read some of the Saab Blogs, the cars built before General Motors got involved are considered "The Real Saab's". I like that it's a 4-cylinder, fuel injected, turbo charged car, and the engine has a timing CHAIN, not a timing BELT. I can get 28 miles per gallon (MPG) on the highway. A/C blows nice and cold. (Good heat too.) The convertible top works very well with no problems. All electric windows work, electric adjustable seats and a great radio with CD changer in the trunk. A great car with amazing gas mileage, very reliable, very safe, totally fun to drive, leather and just drop dead beautiful. I will tell you it always gets Mobil-1 oil changes and has regular check-ups. New tires only 6-months ago (see photos) and a new fuel pump and a new throttle cable at the same time. Heater and Air Conditioning works great. Clutch and transmission feel great, no issues. She starts, runs and drives and brakes beautifully. I can get between 18 to 20 MPG around town and 28 MPG on long trips. ...and look great doing it !!! Smooth and comfortable. This car has a nice digital read out for mileage, trips, temp, ETA and a whole host of other functions. This car does have some minor blemishes: There is a small tear in the drivers seat, (down low on the left corner of the back section.) If I keep the car, I will install sheepskin covers on the seats. There are also small cracks in the tail light lens, (center section) the left headlamp outside glass is cracked, (still works fine.) and 3 small hairline cracks in the bottom center section of the windshield. ( I had the local "Ding Doctor" repair the windshield.) There are some scuff marks on the corners of the bumper and some very very light parking lot marks on the body. (you will never see them.) Also, there is a mark in the heater LCD display, (see photo) but you can still read the settings. The "SRS airbag" light is on and the electric radio antenna stays at half mast, but you can hear the antenna motor working. Please take a look at the pictures, these blemishes are not very visible, but I want to be totally "up-front" since you are not here to see for yourself. Overall this is a great and reliable car. The problems I listed are all superficial and this is a good "daily driver", plus it's fun and fancy looking. *** Please feel free to schedule a time to come and see the car before the auction ends, or ask any questions and I will do my best to get you answers in a timely fashion. For the winning bidder, I can drive the car 150 miles to the Denver International Airport (DIA) and meet you, for an additional $300. (ie. $1.00 per mile, round trip.) All funds would have to be cleared in advance. -Thank you. THIS WILL BE A GREAT CAR FOR SOME LUCKY PERSON: DAUGHTER, SON, WIFE OR LUCKY GUY LIKE ME. MY WIFE AND I HAVE HAS SOME WONDERFUL ADVENTURES IN THIS CAR, AND NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW. Please bid with confidence.
