Presented for your consideration is my beautiful 1985 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Designer Series. This special Lincoln has only 47,xxx miles on it and is all-original, with the exception of regular maintenance items. This is a California car since new, so it has absolutely no rust and is in excellent condition. The Cartier Designer Series was the top of the line Town Car in 1985, and is finished in a special two-tone of Arctic White over Platinum Mist, separated by a Cartier red pinstripe, with an Arctic White coach roof. The interior is dove grey and white leather and is immaculate. The car is fully equipped with power steering, brakes, automatic door locks, windows, trunk lid release and pull down, and both front seat adjusters. The seats also feature a recliner and individual center armrests. Equipment also includes automatic temperature control air conditioning (very cold A/C), a tilt steering wheel, speed control, interval windshield wipers, the headlamp convenience group (automatic on/off and automatic dimming), AM/FM cassette stereo with Premium Sound System, keyless entry keypad and illuminated entry system, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors, dual remote control outside mirrors, and the electronic instrument panel with trip computer. This beautiful Lincoln was purchased new from Sunnyvale Lincoln-Mercury in Sunnyvale, California by Mr. And Mrs. Adam Chan of Cupertino. I purchased the car in January, 2006 from their daughter shortly after Mrs. Chan’s death. The daughter told me that this was her mother’s car and that her father purchased a new Mark VII at the same time. The car has always been garaged or in a carport, and covered when not being used. Although the car is in excellent condition, it is not perfect. Being driven regularly, it does have small rock chips here and there and a few small door dings. The vinyl bodyside molding on the rear passenger door is a bit scraped from an encounter my mother had with a wooden post. The right rear horizontal reflector is cracked but a NOS replacement is included. The driver-side outside rearview mirror doesn't fully adjust, and a replacement is included. The interior is spotless, with the only upcoming issue being that the headliner in starting to bubble in a couple of places. The Lincoln has been well maintained and I will provide extensive records with the car. Recent work includes new shocks all around, new upper control arm bushings, and new brake, power steering and differential fluids. It just passed a California smog test and won’t need another until April, 2015.
