For sale is my 1993 R100GSPD, which has been well cared for, has many optional accessories, and is in excellent mechanical shape! There are some scuffs and scratches you would expect with a 20-year old bike (most just on the front fender "beak" and on the right saddlebag, and on the valve covers), and there is a small hole that has formed on the exhaust collector box (muffler is fine). This bike has been ridden and enjoyed instead of being left to rot away in a garage. Please take a close look at the photos provided and feel free to ask any questions! I picked up this bike in the late summer of 2007 from a BMW dealer in New Hampshire (a "fly and ride") with just under 60,000 miles on it. While it was in a bit of rough shape when I picked it up, I have since gone through this bike fixing and upgrading things as needed. In 2008 I had the transmission rebuilt (circlip added, all needed work completed), and in 2009 I had the heads rebuilt by Ted Porter of the Beemershop (pistons were also cleaned and re-ringed). At the same time I had him replace the pushrod tubes with the stainless variety as the old ones looked terrible. Everything was put back together and there are NO LEAKS. Valve clearance has remained stable. The Valeo starter (known for failures) has been replaced (same brand but I've been told they upgraded the magnet design). The charging system has been upgraded to the Enduralast system (450 watts, all original electrical parts included in sale), and there is a newer sealed battery installed (no fear of losing acid if you tip over!). The coil was replaced with a Dyna unit, the ignition control module was also replaced (both originals are included in the sale, but they may or may not have intermittent issues). The bike also comes with Fastway pegs, ROX handlebar risers, longer braided stainless brake line to accommodate risers, locking BMW gas cap, Touratech handguards, Touratech centerstand skidplate, Fox rear shock with remote reservoir, Caribou 40-liter saddlebags (with R100GSPD Caribou rack), and a smaller added Pelican case mounted to the back of the right side case. The bike also comes with the original solo seat and a Corbin dual seat with backrest. All turn signals have been wired to run as signal / running lights, there is a BRAKE! flashing LED tail light (flash feature can be disabled). The full BMW toolkit is included.
