Vehicle Detail
Too many bikes, not enough time. Recently started driving truck over the road. Spending all my home time working on bikes, and not riding so gotta let some go. If you are here, you know about the V65. I bought this bike in 2006 intending to show it. It was in immaculate condition but was not running correctly and needed a carb clean. You will not find a nicer low mileage example of the V65. It starts, runs and rides like new. If you show up to pick up this bike and you are not happy with it I will refund your deposit on the spot. It is that nice! There are no second gear issues, no dents or scratches in tank, all tabs on side covers, the chrome on both rims are perfect, tires were new in last two years, probably less than 500 miles on them. It starts and idles perfectly, and has that beautiful sounding V65 growl. I have two other V65s I am keeping, but this is by far the nicest one. Every thing on it works as it should, it has the factory backrest and 6 pack rack. Seat and backrest pad are in perfect condition, with no rips or tears. Carbs were cleaned last summer by Billy C of the V4Honda.bbs, where I have been a member since 2006. There are a four things I want a prospective buyer to know. 1.A previous owner has repainted the tank, and kremed the inside. It was that way when I bought it and it has not given me any problems. The tank looks to be professionally painted with factory decals under clear. There is one tiny sand speck on the top of the tank that has been painted over, and will not show up in pictures. The decal by the fuel cap was NOT replaced. The paint shines like it is new, not a lot of fine scratches in it as you can see in the two pictures with the reflections. Non motorcycle people literally think this bike is only a couple of years old. The paint code sticker on the frame has been removed, so I have no way of knowing what the original color was, but at least the tank has been repainted. White dot on left tank view is the flash and not a paint chip. 2. Rear shocks have been replaced with 13.5" Progressive HD shocks. 3. Front tire is one size larger as I was trying to match the rear and the stock size did not come in that brand. So, had to go one up or down. It is a MR18 or close to a 120 instead of the factory 110. It is close clearance to the front fender, but does not rub. I have the old Qualifier if you want it. It slows down the handling of the bike a bit, but it handles like it is on rails. You do get some gravel rubbing on the bottom of the fender, more so than with the stock tire. But, you aren't buying this bike to ride in gravel anyway. I have a gravel driveway. Chrome on fender is not damaged in any way. 4. The fake air cleaner covers have been chromed. Basically, this bike is ready to roll. Would make a perfect bike for a collector as long as you weren't taking it to a Concourse type show. Or, a daily rider if you so desired. It runs like it should, brakes are good, tires are great, and just really needs someone who wants to spend the time with it that it deserves. You wouldn't have to do a thing to it except ride it if you wanted to. It looks even better in person than the pictures! I'm posting my phone number. 715-499-0725 Feel free to call. I sleep all times of the day and night as the job requires so you may wake me up but that is ok. Or, 2 am is fine as well as I may be working. I'm looking for a $500.00 Ebay deposit, and Cash at delivery. As I said if you see it, ride it and don't like it, you get your cash and $500.00 deposit back. I don't want to sell it to anyone that isn't going to be happy with it, but if you are looking for a V65, that isn't going to happen. We can talk about some other forms of payment, I'm not taking any cashiers checks from Nigeria or any of that crap so don't even bother asking. Shipping can probably be arranged at your expense, but I would rather the buyer pickup in person. Bike is in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, about 75 miles NE of Minneapolis
