We bought this 1964 Volvo PV 544 Sport last year from a towing company here in Phoenix, Arizona. They had picked it up from a back yard and they did not know anything about the car except for what you can see. The car has probably spent it’s whole life in Southern California before arriving to Arizona probably not that long ago. It has black plate Ca plates on it and it had school stickers from California also. The exterior body is totally rust free, the only rust in the car is relatively minor rust in the front floor pans. The paint is sun baked and the interior is really sun baked! We did install new tires on the car when we bought it, the old ones were totally dry rotted. We have not had time to start up the motor so we don’t know anything about the condition of it. It is painted and looks like it might have been rebuilt but I don’t know for sure. The original dual SU carb’s have been replaced with a single Weber carburetor. The 60’s Volvo’s were almost indestructible and I think this 544 will have a lot of life left in it. We have decided to sell the car so we are running it with no reserve. We can help arranging transport to most states in the US or transport to overseas port.
