1966 Sunroof Beetle, gone through in 2010. The car has a fresh 1500 engine with dual port heads. The engine received new push rods and adjustable tubes, new 009 distributor, rebuilt Pict 34 carburetor, new fuel pump, new oil pump, rebuilt alternator, rebuilt trans axle/transmission (rebuilt by Scott Sebastian of Metal Craft), new master cylinder, 12 volt electrics, all new cloth interior, carpets and door panels ( new headliner but the install is sloppy). All locks are replaced. All original bumpers, runners and headlights and tail lights. Wolfsburg shoulder belts front and back, uncut dash with original radio, CD player in glove box. Car has all original glass. There is a scratch on exterior sunroof paint. The wiper works on drivers side but the passenger side post is stripped. Paint job is original ruby red with white inserts, painted with acrylic enamel BUT has orange peal on the fenders and some on body and dash. The paint is thick and I believe can be color sanded to smooth. Wife didn't care about the paint so I didn't pursue smoothing it. There's no collision damage to either front or rear apron. Have receipts. Always garage kept. 51973 miles on the odometer with only 3k of that put on by myself. Have a look at the pictures or come by in person and see if this VW is for you. Car is on the original pan, good solid California Car, no rust. The pan was repaired under the battery. A new panel was purchased at CB performance and welded in as well as new rubber undercoating. Personal checks will need to completely clear my bank before the car is going anywhere. Take that in mind if you plan to pay with a check. I will NOT ship this vehicle but will help you in any way possible while loading or being here when you come to drive it off. Vehicle needs to be picked up within 3 weeks of auction end. That's more than enough time to pay for it and haul/drive it off. After 3 weeks, I will have to charge $10 a day storage fee.
