We are consigning for sale one Honda 1976 GL1000 Goldwing (2nd. year model) We keep getting asked if the bike is 'wrecked.' The reason the headlight bulb is missing is due to the bike having the Vetter fairing installed. Although the bike does appear to have been tipped over as the headlight mounts are bent and the indicator cluster is damaged. (See photos) Very rare with low original miles This would be a good start for a restoration project Don't think you would buy this bike and ride it as is It needs restoration before running/riding It is being sold as is It does come with an original Vetter fairing and trunk (Need restoring) The consignee lost interest with the restoration Information provided by consignee is as follows: 1. Carburetors were replaced and rebuilt using Randakk's rebuild kits. 2. Front and rear calipers, and masters cylinders, were rebuilt with Honda OEM parts. 3. Fresh engine oil, filter, and coolant. 4. Ignition system replaced with Dynatek system. 5.We did start the bike. At a minimum the carburetors need adjusting/synchronization. 6. Provided with clear Massachusetts title. The brakes and carburetors were rebuilt, fluids changed, and electronic ignition installed over this past winter. Gas used to run briefly was treated with Startron fuel treatment. Most of the fuel has been drained from the tank. The tank does appear to have been epoxy lined. Consignee purchased it like that. Mufflers are missing the original baffles and have some internal rattling. (Rust?) Bike is being sold without a battery and will not be started. Again, we ran it briefly.....it needs work. Consignee has requested not to be contacted for bike viewing. It is being sold 'As is.' Please study photos carefully.
