Super solid FJ40. I have owned this FJ for 11 years and it has been street-driven weekly. About 6 years ago (appr. 10,000 miles), the body was removed and primed in blue and the frame was coated with POR-15. Also at this time, a new clutch and slave cylinder were installed. The drive train is very solid and runs strong. Transmission shifts nicely and 4WD works as it should. The engine does leak a little oil (has leaked the same amount since I have owned it). The top and doors are in very good shape. The fiberglass top is crack free and all the glass is there. The rear hatch shuts and latches. The front doors shut nicely and the windows roll up and down (driver’s side window crank slips a little). The top could use new weather stripping and removal of the random spray paint. The entire Land Cruiser has no real rust issues. The front fenders are the only areas that have Bondo. The following would be potential areas of concern: - The rear seal plate has a small bubble in the left corner; - The driver’s side wheel well has a quarter size spot in the inside corner; and - The lower two corners of the hatch backdoor. There are a few random holes that have been cut in the body. Both rear corners have a 1” +/- size hole (possible for CB Antenna), under the Colorado Plate that is behind the passenger seat is a 2” +/- size hole, and there is an extra fuel tank opening for a tank that is no longer there. All the gauges work except for the speedometer. The wipers function however there is no washer fluid bottle. The rear heater has been removed and the valve for the front heater has to be manually opened. The lights, including the hazards, are functional. The following items that have been replaced: fuel pump, brake pads and cylinders (but note right rear has recently started leaking). Overall, this is a very strong and solid FJ 40. There are a few spare parts, including a rim and tire. The Landcruiser comes with no warranty written or implied. This listing will be treated as a real auction with no reserve. I require a $500 deposit at the end of the auction. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Pay pal and cashier’s check will be accepted.
