At an imposing 7' 10" height, this vehicle is a real headturner. It is number 56 off the line and is the oldest example of a Series IIa Forward Control in North America. It was originally purchased in 1963 by London University (England) and fitted out by Carawagon as a mobile laboratory - as such it travelled to India on two expeditions. My father purchased it in 1972 and used it for our family vacations, driving it all over England and over to Europe. Over time I have converted it to a crew-cab flat bed truck to make it easier to transport my own children and stuff.
