NO RESERVE 1946 CJ2A 38145 MILEAGE IS UNKNOWN I HAVE FOR SALE ONE OF MY JEEPS. THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT I BOUGHT AND HAVE HAD IT FOR A WHILE. IT HAS A PURPLE HEART LICENSE PLATE ON IT. I SAVED IT FROM THE GRAVE. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO LIFE. SINCE THEN WE HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR EVERYTHING FROM GROCERY RUNS TO LITTLE LEAGUE. IT IS A GOOD RUNNER. TAGS ARE PAID FOR. TITLE IN HAND. I GOT 4 WILLYS JEEPS... NEED TO SELL ONE OF THEM. I belong to the Military Vehicle Preservation Association and I have taken this jeep to many functions. Functions such as Parades; Car shows; re-enactments; gun shows; route 66 cruises; PCH cruises; USS Iowa displays; Downtown LA parades... etc... BRAKES - The brakes are rebuilt. I put in the new kit. kit comes with new lines; new drums; new brake cylinders; new pads; new master cylinder. the emergency brake is not hooked up. ENGINE - it is a good runner; I go everywhere with it. I take it on the freeway no problem. I have it in great condition; new spark plugs; new oil change; new spark wires; new new belts; new air filter; recently adjusted the tappets; tuned; timed; new rebuilt starter; new battery; new hoses; new thermostat; new fuel pump; new water pump. CARBURETOR - Carb is a REBUILT CARTER; runs great! no issues what so ever. ELECTRICAL - all replaced; and is all brand new. has 2 cell phone/ cigarette lighter connectors - one on the dash and one on the left back seat.; new light switch; new hi beam switch; new dash light; GAUGES - all work; new speedometer cable. new choke cable. SUSPENSION - 4 new springs;4 new shocks; 4 new U joints; 4 new shackles; HORNS - have 3 horns; one ooooga; one siren; one TARZAN horn. :) very fun to drive around with the horns... whenever I drop my son off at school i hit the horns and the kids love it.. lol. LIGHTS - new taillights; all lights work; has blinkers; hi beam and low beam all work correctly. dash lights work. STEERING - no issues; turns excellent; no death wobble. i take it on the freeway 50-55 MPH. SEATS - has 2 front seats; black leather seats; no holes; no rips; no tears; seats are aged a little - but still in excellent condition. I welded 2 straps on the back floor for a back seat - so if you have one it will drop right in. HITCH - i have a removable custom hitch; it drops down out of the way - so not to impede with my purple heart license plate; I needed a hitch, so the jeep could help me move around the little boat and jet ski. BODY - needs TLC; my goal was to make everything else good and then buy a NOS body kit to put on... just never happened... This body is solid. I welded up all the cancer that was on it - and slapped some OD green paint on it; i found this jeep in Palmdale- on a farm- it was sitting for who knows how long..all rusted up... I bought it and brought it home- put a battery in it and some fresh gas - and it started right up..:) love at first sight :) --- the body needs some work - i just did not put the time on it. TIRES - 5 each Military Firestone crossbar tires 7.00 X 16 ; they are used - they have some life left - the spare is cracked, but it still holds air. just had them re-balanced. TRANSMISSION - T90; it occasionally pops out of second gear; I opened up the top of the T90 and took a look inside - gears and syncrose are all good - no burs or metal frags; trans needs a tune up, meaning it needs new washers and it would be excellent; I drive it as it is- works fine. I wanted to buy another trans off craigslist and swap it out.. they go for about 200 bucks - just never got around doing it.. this one always works for me.. LEAKS- I fixed all the leaks except for one; it leaks in between the ebrake and trans. small leak - but want to disclose all :) (they all leak) lol. TAILGATE - tailgate is welded shut; spare tire rack is welded on; gas can is welded on - did a OIF gypsy rack style gas can holder :) works excellent. solid - I was in the Marines during Iraq 2003-04; naturally I wanted a USMC jeep - so all the stencils are Marine; The FR8654 stands for Force Recon and the 8654 is the MOS for USMC Recon. I was a Force Recon Marine. HHHOOOOOOORRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! lol... NO RESERVE SHIPPING- I AM WILLING TO HELP LOAD IT UP - YOU GET THE SHIPPING. LOCAL PICK UP WELCOME. i will give new owner a pint of left over paint - for touch up. i did not armor all the tires - or - wash the jeep - i wanted you to see exactly as it is - and exactly what you are going to get... i will also post some video's soon. happy bidding.
