Vehicle Detail
1949 Willys Overland Jeepster in very good condition. Runs and drives great. Overdrive works perfect. This car has been only used in parades for at least the last 15 years and has always been stored inside. The following upgrades have been done within the last year; New Convertible top and pads, New custom upholstery, new carpet and pad, new seat belts, New floor mats, new sill plates, new side curtains (all four), All New wiring (all 12 volt except gauges), new fuse block with modern fuses, rebuilt 12v alternator, New electronic distributor, new 12v ignition coil, new plugs and wires, rebuilt 12v overdrive solenoid, rebuilt overdrive governor, new 12v overdrive relay, new overdrive kickdown switch, new overdrive cable, new temp. gauge sending unit, new oil pressure sending unit, new turn signal switch, new brake shoes, new emergency brake cable, all new steel and rubber brake lines, new master cylinder, new brake cylinders, new slave cylinder on clutch ( unit has newer style swinging brake and clutch pedals), new slave master cylinder, new solid state voltage reducer for gauges, new sunvisors, new dimmer switch, new gas gauge sending unit, gas tank was cleaned out and coated inside, new fuel line and fuel pump, rebuilt carburator, and more. The car has a 12v electric wiper motor and I have a heater that goes with it that has been media blasted, painted, core tested and cleaned, but needs a motor. This car is in good shape and a real head turner with the wide white wall tires and chromed spoke style wheels. It starts very easy and runs nice. I have put about 150 miles on it since the upgrades were done, but now I need to sell it due to personal reasons. This is a very nice survivor that has been well maintained. Tires are in great shape with lots of tread. The car has a couple of places on the lower part of the doors where the paint is bubbled and a little rust , but should be an easy fix and the front bumper could use a rechrome job. There are the normal rock chips and scratches in the paint, but still looks very presentable. The temp. gauge and oil pressure gauge needs to be calibrated due to the new sending units. Please ask any questions that you may have. (I point this out so that you have no surprises) You are buying as is and I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. Thanks for looking. You are more than welcome to take a look and test drive.
