Vehicle Detail
This will make someone a great restoration project. I am the original owner and it was ordered from the factory to my specifications back in my younger days. The color is Persimmon. The bird was hand painted on. This is not a Formula or Trans Am which are easy to come by this is the Firebird basic coupe which is hard to find with a 350 engine in it. In 1985 I was rear ended which messed up the rear bumper and left quarter panel. After sitting for about 8 yrs I got someone to see if it would crank after we put new fuel lines on, cleaned the gas tank and put fresh oil in it. Amazingly it did crank so I took it to get the left quarter panel replaced on it and the car was parked under a shed with the intention of restoring it. So I began gutting it. It has been sitting under a shed for the last 10yrs. The right floor pan was rusted out so I bought a new one for it which never got put in and due to some events happening the project just stopped and as bad as I hate to sell it I hate it worse for it to just sit since my children seem to have no interest in it. It was recently pulled out from under the shed because the shed needed work. I have all the parts(panels, seats(which are tore up but frames good), etc) to it which need to just be refurbished as everything is the original equipment including the rims. I have no idea what the bottom looks like as I am too old to crawl under it and look. The only thing I don't have is the rear bumper. The glass is all intact with no cracks or chips. This is mostly manual labor and very few parts to buy I don't think except for re-building the engine(and it may not need it) and buying a bumper. I also have brand new weather stripping for the rear window. The red on it is not rust but red primer, there is very little rust on it and mostly on the inside of the deck lid. The restored value on it is around $20k. Any other questions feel free to ask. I require a $500 non refundable deposit payable at end of auction. I will accept money order, cashiers check or use paypal. You are responsible for your own transportation to pick it up and full payment in 7-10 days at close of auction or forfeit your deposit. I will work with you if you need more time to pick up if it's paid in full.
