Vehicle Detail

This very clean, all original Chevy Nova belonged to an older man who at this point in his life was unable to sell the vehicle himself. He purchased this Nova from the Chevy dealer in 1973 and has taken good care of it ever since. The vehicle is now registered to me. However, I do not have the time or the space at the moment to take care for this Nova like he has. It is difficult not to be taken aback when you first get a glimpse of this ridiculously original Nova and have a chance to sit inside the cabin. A couple of pumps of the gas pedal and finesse, and the six cylinder 250 fires up and will not stall as long as it is nice and warm. I don't know much about older cars but this Nova seems to drive pretty smooth. Transmission shifts well along with the transmission range selector and the vehicle easily comes to a stop. Parking brake is also adjusted and functional. All the original stickers are in the glovebox, under the hood and in the trunk. Even the original "engine starting procedure" on the back of the sun visor. Open the driver's door and you will see the original General Motors Co. sticker with the VIN number as assembled right here in the old Van Nuys, California assembly plant. If you're a California buyer, the vehicle is smog exempt so you don't have to deal with the hassle. Open the trunk and you will see the spare tire, vehicle jacking instructions and vehicle jack. NO rust in the trunk and a carpet to cover it. All the lights, connectors and hinges are clean and operational. All body components such as the trunk, hood and doors line up and the nuts and bolts seem to have never been touched. Walk around the car and you may see some dings and blemishes on the paint from the past 40 years of operation. Windshield, door glass and rear window appear spot free. And the door seals and moldings seem to be in fair condition given their age. The rear bumper seems to have been warped a bit during routine parallel parking, although the rubber filling the gap between the chrome and vehicle body is in excellent condition and still the original color of the vehicle. The B-pillar covers are a bit loose to touch. Dash and steering wheel are in good condition (steering wheel has a spot wear next to the Chevrolet logo). Instrument cluster lights up and the speedometer and fuel gauge seem to be fully functional. You're going to need a set of four new tires. Suspension seems to squeak a bit and the vehicle pulls a little to the right. Power assisted steering makes driving this Nova effortless. Although there is no spotting on the ground from what I have noticed, I'm confident that there are some leaks possibly from the power steering or valve cover gaskets (but I am not sure as I have not had the time to spend with the vehicle). All electrical components seem to be working such as the exterior lights, dome light, high beam switch, AM radio, horn, turn signal switch and door and seatbelt warning buzzer. Although, again, I havn't spent too much time with the vehicle. The heater and air conditioning do not work. Manual windows and door locks are also operational and the door slam shut like a brand new car. I am not aware of any leaks from the door seals as we do not get much rain here in rust free Southern California. The seats are very clean with the exception of a slight wear and tear on the front bench and top of the rear bench. All emblems and logos are in tact and original as the day the vehicle pulled off the dealer lot. The plastic around the driver's side seatbelt is apart a bit. The gentleman mentioned that the driver's seatbelt gets stuck sometimes when you are attempting to close it, but I have not come across this issue as they are fully functional. Everything under the hood appears to be well maintained and clean (although I have not had a chance to spend much time under the hood). The vehicle battery appears to be new and cranks over EVERY without hesitation. I have tried to be as honest and descriptive as possible. I can't think of anything else to say other than I wish I didn't have to sell this Nova. If there is anything else that you would like to know about the vehicle please don't hesitate to contact me at (818) 599-5213 or email me at chevysupernova@gmail.com This vehicle is sold AS IS with NO warranties or refunds. Local pickup is available in Los Angeles, California. Buyer is responsible for arranging to have the vehicle picked up or shipped. On Apr-04-13 at 22:54:10 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Additional photoshttp://www.flickr.com/photos/63516751@N04/sets/72157633165697687/
