My name is David Clark. Email with questions or call anytime. My cell is (317) 371-8935. One of our new car stores recently traded for this awesome Charger R/T. California car, with N95 Evap Emission Control. We have a 1985 vehicle registration that shows the car in San Jose in 1985. Retired in the proverbial barn here in Indiana in 2004, where it sat until just a few months ago. This Charger is one of the best examples one could find, for restoration. It is a true U code R/T and it retains it's original vin stamped 440/375 motor. The transmission is a correct 833 4-speed, but is date coded 1968. The rear end is correct Dana 60 with 3.54 gears. The car was built EV2 Hemi Orange, and has had one repaint a long time ago.The body is in delightful condition. Very straight with no terminal rust. The floor pans are excellent. I took as many pictures as I did to try to show the car's condition as accurately as possible. We pulled the back seat, searching for the broadcast sheet. See the pics. We found it under the springs, but it is too deteriorated to be of much use. The car is missing it's center console. The car was missing it's carb when we got it. There were rags stuffed into the intake. We spent about two grand in parts and labor to get this baby running. We bought a new carb, a new battery box and battery, starter, coil, cap, plugs, wires, alternator, fuel pump and filter, and a new ignition. You can see the car running in the video. We have to put fuel directly into the carb to get it to keep it running. Our guy thinks there might be a rust through spot somewhere in the fuel line that is letting in air. The freeze plugs have been replaced. The throw out bearing is shot. The brakes are shot. The glass appears to be all original, except for the driver's door vent window. The engine sounds really good and has around 60 psi at idle. The transmission and rear end are good. The trunk lock is missing, but you can open it with a screwdriver. The data plate shows L31 right hand mirror, but the car does not have one, or the hole. Best guess would be that the right door was replaced somewhere down the line. Guys, this car is an excellent candidate for a complete nut and bolt restoration. All of the critical stuff is there. Bid on this car with complete confidence.
