1990 Jaguar xjs convertible V-12 Luxury Grand Touring, Glacier White 72,000 one owner pampered miles · Electronic fuel injection, three speed Auto Trans Sticker price $57.525.00 New Near Mint Condition Own a piece of automotive history The Jaguar xjs convertible began production in 1988 model year and they produced 12,372 convertibles between 1988 -1990. I purchased my first xjs convertible in 1988 this was a conversion offered by Hess and Eisenhardt were they modified a hardtop into a convertible by removal of the roof , cutting the body in several sections and adding steel reinforcements behind the driver’s seat , and 20lbs of weight placed just behind the headlights to eliminate harmonic resonance caused by the significant modification to the car . This later proved to be somewhat of a disaster and in 1990 the Jaguar dealer replaced my 1988 with my current 1990 factory produced convertible @ no charge. This jaguar is a one owner vehicle that has been pampered and loved since the day we drove it off the show room floor. Always serviced by the dealer and is showing a true 72,000 miles. Maliciously maintained and serviced. This car represents all the best in style, engineering and elegance. A true driving experience. Always garaged. Everything works as it should, power top with boot, power windows, heated seats, and a/c. The body show extremely well with no appeasable dents or scratches, does have some very minor door dings, and a very minor rust spot on the inside of drivers rear wheel well. Paint shines the interior show just minor signs of wear. The Jaguar runs and drive like a luxury touring sports car should. I did misplace the trunk key some years ago; however the Jaguar does have a remote trunk release. Jaguar was just serviced and inspected by certified repair facility. New tires were installed, and vehicle was inspected thoroughly for pre-sale and was found to be in excellent working order with no issues. You can drive this car anywhere, fly in and drive her home with confidence. All in all this Jaguar is in Near Mint condition, I would rate it a 9 on a 1-10 scale. I think anyone would be hard presses to find a nicer original car anywhere including Barrett Jackson or Mecum. This is not a restoration or a rebuild, this is quite simply just a very well cared for and loved survivor or an era long past. We are retiring and downsizing therefore my baby must find a new home, and someone to love her as I have.
