1962 Thunderbird Convertible / Project Car Offered for consideration is a 1962 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This is a rust free PROJECT CAR that is disassembled and complete,LESS engine and transmission. The body is very straight and most of the stripping and body work has been completed. All the stainless trim, bumpers, grille, lights and all accessories are included with the car. The red interior is complete and useable. The hydraulic top mechanism is complete and intact. The glass and window lift mechanisms are also present and in good condition, LESS the windshield. This would be an excellent restoration project or an awesome retro rod cruiser. The original plan was for a late model Navigator drive train (5.4L, 4 cam w/ a/c and overdrive trans). The car and numerous parts have always been in dry storage and never exposed to the elements, so there is no rust or effects of carelessness on the car or parts. The car was disassembled methodically and the parts stored in plastic totes The wheels and tires are new (17" Cragar style w/BFG tires). Clear title in hand. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. Buyer to forward 10% of the total sales price within 3 days of auction close and the balance, in certified funds, within 10 days of close of auction. The car may remain in its present secure storage facility for an additional 30 days while the buyer makes travel and shipping arrangements. PayPal is only applicable for the deposit on this sale.
