Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car locally in 1998 from a man that bought and dismantled the car with the intention of restoring it himself. He had over $1500.00 in new parts and was retiring to FL. he decided to sell because the cost to ship the car (in boxes, drivetrrain etc) he felt he could just buy one there. So I took on the project. I (with the help of a local friend and British mechanic) proceeded to reassemble the car. I - am a pretty poor record keeper so I will not make stuff up: We replaced /repaired from the ground up. Exterior: Chasis was rust free but cleaned and then painted with POR15 - New mounting pads were put on the frame. New proper floor panels were welded in. Body panels were all pretty good and needed only minor repair. The only thing that was really bad and not worth repairing was the apron, so I bought another but that just never seemed to fit right, so I bought a fiberglass apron and that is what is on the car. Interior: Seats and convertible top are as when I bought the car. New carpets were installed. Paint _ color is 2000 or 2001 Corvette Millenium Yellow - so thats when I actually started driving the car. It's wearing pretty well considering how old it is. Why am I selling this car? One reason only - I have my first grandchild and I need a convertible with a backseat so i can take my angel for a ride. I also have a 1980 TR8 (not a clone) that I am listing. If I sell that one, I will keep this one ...whatever one goes first ...unless someone wants to buy them both. Every year - I do something in the winter to my cars ... this year I had under the hood cleaned up, wheels sand blasted and painted, new wiring harness, dash panel lights all working etc. Never did anything to engine ...never needed to. It runs great. Email me with any questions at all.... Nothing To Hide... Whats Missing - No wiper blade motor - gave mine to someone to repair and he fell off the face of earth - only caught in rain a couple of times anyway. Car has always been garaged - keep it on a trickle charger and she starts right up. Still need to do a tune up - working on that. Just put the top on - too cold to stretch it to connect all the snaps. I suggest you send someone to check the car out before bidding. Shipping is your responsibility, but I will help any way I can.On Mar-30-13 at 04:33:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I WILL NOT SELL INTERNATIONALLY - PLEASE RETRACT ANY BIDS OUTSIDE USA. CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 20 FEEDBACK.
