Volkswagen Panel Van. Perfect advertising vehicle. Make no mistake - this van needs work! At the same time - realize the fun and potential of ownership. There is rust. Most can be seen in the photos. The rust on the side panel is surface rust from inside storage after paint removal. The roof and gutters, nose, front windows, and upper body are sound. The frame is solid. The hard to find tail lights are present. The van come with a 36hp VW engine. This will need rebuilding. The transmission has been clearanced so that a newer and more powerful air cooled VW may be installed. The often missing pressed board panel between the front and the cargo area is intact and installed. The front bench seat with the divider hump has been reupholstered and looks great The rocker panels, floors, sills, and door bottoms need rust repair. I am including with the sale most of the replacement metal pieces needed for the repairs. Almost $1000 paid for the various pieces. Also included is a very nice pair of used side doors for the panel section. Body work was started and paint was removed from the sides. In response to several inquiries I have the following metal pieces: front floor 1 piece, front nose lower valance, cargo area floor (both sides), left side long rocker panel, cargo doors latch plate and lower rocker, all jack points, right side short rocker, battery tray, front cross member, rear cross member, 1 outrigger, 15" cargo door front piller, several bits of cut doglegs for both sides, rear engine door hinge carrier, various cross members, nice set of used high hinge cargo doors, used metal panel for over the engine, used front and rear bumpers (may not be the correct year). The engine is a used 36hp from the previous owner and is not complete and probably needs rebuilding. Sorry, no Hula Girl for the dashboard, shag carpet or 8 track tapes are included. The mileage listed is NOT the true mileage. This delightful van in located in Winston-Salem, NC. I have the signed, but not notarized title from Louisana and the numbers are correct. There is air in the tires and it rolls. The brakes willl need attention. The van is located in an industial storage warehouse with easy truck access for pick up.
