Vehicle Detail
1989 Mustang GT—Nicknamed “LIGHTING” VIN 1FABP42e6KF304816 Porsche Gold You are bidding on a 1989 Mustang GT. With a new 5O engine. The engine was built by a speed shop in IA It has been bored and blue printed and balanced with a stroker kit and a Racing Cam THIS NEW ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND PARTS HAS LESS THAN 5,000 MILES!!!! 347 ci engine It has a new Tremec TKO 600 5 speed Nitrous kit installed McLeod dual adjust clutch cable Rear end 3.73 gears Brand new tires with Cobra 17 inch R wheels It is street legal! On the new motor, transmission and parts, there was over $9,400.00 spent in a speed shop in Iowa. That is not including the new Cobra rims and tires. It was painted three years ago to Porsche Gold. And the door handles were shaved, it now has a remote control. The interior is average. It is 99% rust free. The glass is perfect. In my younger days I used to quarter race. The only reason that I am selling it, my wife says she no longer wants me to do any more racing. So I decided to sell it out of my collection. The tires and rims are brand new purchased for $1,600. This Mustang is very fast! It was nicknamed “Lighting”, and that is the reason why they nicknamed it “Lighting”. If you are looking for speed this is the car for you. This Mustang has been in the original family since it was brand new. In 1990 there was a hail storm and it received some damage, at this time it had 10,541 miles. The original owner purchased it back from the insurance company and she gave it to her son and it does have a prior salvage on title. The son had it completely repainted and the hail damage taken out of it. The black stripes are painted on and then he turned it into a racing machine. He got transferred out of state then I purchased it. It has been in my collection in storage. When you are bidding on this remember the speed shop repair bill was over $9,400 plus $1,600 for the rims and tires and $5,800 for the paint job and hail removal. The odometer was broken at one time. Who ever purchases this I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. If you have any questions you can call me. Also at the end of the sale I will give you the speed shops phone number for any additional questions you may have. If the new buyer needs shipping assistance, I have a friend that is a transporter and ships at a very reasonable rate. Dave @ 402-890-2726
