It was traded here locally on a later model Ford SUV. They'd had good enough luck with it to buy another which speaks a lot. The vehicle looks clean overall. It runs and drives well, interior is super clean, everything works, and it's been recently serviced. It's hard to find reliable sub $3k 4x4s anywhere, and this guy still has a ways to go yet. You'll like this one just fine. exterior The paint and body on this Explorer are original as far as we know. It has a clean history report, no accidents, and it hasn't seen a lot of road salt if any. There's no body rust. The wheels look ok, tires aren't new, but they're fine to drive on for a little while yet. There's no cracks in the windshield, but it's a bit pitted. Our cost is $125 if you'd like a new one. There's really no damage on the vehicle. The paint is a reasonably glossy, not new, but ok. There's less lacquer checking than on most older Fords, clear coat is still fine. It has light scratches here and there, and a handful of small nicks. It has normal road wear consistent with mileage. The photos document it well, nice looking vehicle for a 13 year old dark colored SUV. Have a look! interior The interior is in great shape! The drivers seat bolster isn't all worn out, so it probably has mostly freeway mileage. The cloth is all surprisingly nice, carpet looks ok, dash, doors, headliner all fine. It's an XLT and pretty well equipped, all power options, tilt, cruise, cold air, etc. As far as I can tell, everything works. Really the only thing I noticed was the typical crackly center consul lid. We have a guy that recovers them for $60, but I wouldn't bother. mechanical This Explorer runs out well and has been driven daily by an older couple for many years. They took good care of it and were admittedly more discerning about what they were buying than our average customer, which is good news for you. We have been over this vehicle and it doesn't need anything immediately. Please understand it is a used older vehicle with higher mileage, and any competent mechanic can find something to fix. The vehicle is very reliable and fine to drive, but will be sold as is. The oil and filter are new, serpentine belt has been replaced and we flushed the power steering fluid and treated it with Lucas. It had 2 exhausts leak we fixed, and we did a general service. The vehicle has decent power, it shifts easy every time, 4x4 works, no check engine light, and no odd noises/smells. It seeps a little oil as it should with the mileage, but isn't leaving a puddle. It's basically just good cheap transportation, should be inexpensive to maintain and reliable for quite some time yet.
