BMW R80GS Paris Dakar - Very nice example of this legendary bike. This bike was purchased in approximately August /1996 with 72,344 miles. Below, is a list of extensive service and modifications that have been done up until now. The bike has been very well taken care of . It has been to far South America on a few occasions. The oil has been changed religiously and the service intervals performed on a regular basis. It has been recently updated with heavy duty 400w alternator. Dural Last. This unit puts out approximately twice what the original alternator did. It has bash plates for the centerstand and the engine. The rear shock is a beefed up aftermarket.........possibly a fox. Bike did some sitting as you can see after long trips. Brake fluid changed often and fluids. Mechanically, bike is in very good shape. Cosmetically it shows a little wear and tear. The previous owner purchased several later model enduro BMW's in the interim and finally decided to sell the R80GS because he wasn't riding it anymore. This is a Paris Dakar model. They came with the signed Gaston Rahier Tank from the factory.
