Vehicle Detail
Original, original , original !!! This is a VERY Rare opportunity for you. This got to be one of the nicest ORIGINAL International Travelalls in the U.S. of A. This rig has only 53,299 ORIGINAL MILES on it. It was Featured in COLLECTIBLE AUTOMOBILE in June 2012. This magazine is known for showing only the finest Original classic cars and ours was the only Travelall they could find in California, actually ours is the ONLY Travelall featured, besides 2 others... an ambulance and a fire truck. Having said this, if you have ever looked for a Travelall, you know that most, if not all, are really, really worn. I do not know why, but I am sure you agree, with of course a few exceptions... AND HERE IS ONE OF THOSE RARE EXCEPTIONS. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION For 10 DAYS ... this car will have a new owner at the end...will it be you? THIS AUCTION WILL END on SUNDAY March 24 at approximately 8:30 pm on the West Coast... 11:30 pm on the East Coast We bought this from Bend, Oregon in 2004. We purchased it from an owner who drove it 6 months and sold it to us... SHE bought it from the Original Owner, who used it only on Summer vacations, otherwise it was ALWAYS kept in the garage. We bought it in 2004 with ONLY 17,000 Original miles on the car. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! In the past 9 years we have properly maintained this beautiful rig and used it, VERY SPARINGLY, as a daily driver... also keeping it in the garage at night or when it was not in use. We have driven it approximately 36,000 in the last nine years... and it now has a little over 53,000 original miles. When we brought it home, we changed the belts, all the fluids and any seals that were leaking. We put new tires on it and cruised around town. We took it on a few summer vacations, what a dream to cruise this baby up the California Coast, it is so very comfortable to drive, I could easily drive across the country in it. The paint is original, with a few small spot dings fixed over its life 43 year life... there are a couple scratches on the side, the photos would not show it. There is a small ding back by the taillight, also, could not capture it on photos. The original paint is EXTREMELY shiney, the chrome and moldings are mint. The car over all is mint. The interior is original and mint, except the drivers seat, which is in need on new cloth, maybe SMS in Oregon has the original cloth... the vinyl is fine. All the door panels are mint, the headliner in mint cardboard panels, the back attached rubber floor in the rear compartment is mint, as well as the moldings. The floors are covered in the original IH complete cab mat which stretches throughout the entire seating area. The dash gauge area is mint, there is 1 teenie tiny crack starting at the radio speaker, about 1/8 " long. All gauges work except temp gauge, we installed on under the dash. The steering wheel is perfect and blue to match. The car has the Original 2 outside IH mirrors. It also has all the original Glass. The Bumpers, the Grill...perfect. The roof was re surfaced in 2003, before we got it, probably faded. It is just a topical application... no vinyl roof... it is THE metal roof with a slightly textured surface...Original. All lights work, dash lights, license plate lights, turn signals, emergency flashers and dome light, except rear dome light when you open the tailgate. Electric Back Window works nicely, from a switch on the dash or by key at the tailgate. The car runs excellent. It has a 304 V-8 and an automatic transmission. Power Brakes and Power Steering. The only hic up , and I mean only a hic up, with this rig, is that 10% of the time the lifters tick, I am told that they are probably dirty and that the gasolines today do not have any detergent in them. It ticks, I turn it off and start it again... NO TICKING...go figure. Other than that... she is wonderful. We installed a CD player under the dash and speakers under the back seat...NO HOLES. Underneath the Travelall is perfect. THERE IS NOT ONE BIT OF RUST ON THIS CAR, with the exception of rust discoloration under the tailgate...NO RUST. IMAGINE, TO OWN A BEAUTIFUL, MINT ORIGINAL INTERNATIONAL TRAVELALL 1000, WITH 2 WHEEL DRIVE, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION... WITH ONLY 53,000 ORIGINAL MILES... WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO FIND SUCH A VEHICLE...
