Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback project car that needs a complete restoration. This car was born in Ford's Metuchen assembly plant and is an original Acapulco Blue on Black Mustang Sportsroof! Car does need a total restoration to include rust repair. The car was originally equipped with a H-code 351W-2V and FMX Automatic transmission it now has a 351C-2V engine and FMX Auto transmission that will both need to be rebuilt. They are out of the car currently but will be bolted back in the car for shipment. The car has rust in all the usual spots, but it appears to have mostly original paint on the car so you know what you are in for. Nothing hidden behind multiple layers of paint and filler!! Underneath the car will need floor pans to include trunk floors & drops, as most Mustangs do. Front and rear rails will need help too! I have a passenger 1/4 extension and rear bumper for the car too. Car also has a pretty complete interior, it all needs re-doing. The seats and dash pad are out of the car but will be bolted back in for shipment. Doors are currently missing the door glass. This would make for an excellent car to restore to original, a Mach 1 clone or as a cool Hot Rod Project!! While certainly no cream puff, I have seen cars that are much worse resurrected and made into a nice car!! It needs it all, but the price reflects the condition. This Sportsroof is priced where the average guy can afford the initial buy in and then invest some sweat equity to really improve the cars condition and value dramatically. This car is a Factory Acapulco Blue car that was originally ordered as a poor man's Mach 1 as it had the base Mach 1 power train in it. It would be a great car to turn into a Mach 1 Clone!! Whether you re-do it as a Mach 1 or Boss clone or if you want to do a coupe to fastback conversion this car will certainly provide the basic foundation to do whatever you can imagine. Everything this car needs is readily available and is very reasonable to purchase for the restoration of this Mustang Fastback. This car is not for the faint of heart; but certainly not beyond doing especially if you have some welding and metal working skills! The state of Georgia does not require a title on pre-1986 vehicles (so this car does not have one!!) and transfer of ownership is done with a Bill of Sale which is what I have for this car. I will supply the winning bidder with a State of Georgia Bill of Sale for this car. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the item and its sale. I expect payment within 7 days of auction end. This is a 40+ year old project car and as such is being auctioned 'as-is where-is' with now warranties either expressed or implied. I have described this 1969 Mustang Fastback project car accurately so please read the auction text and look at the pictures carefully and make sure this is what you want before bidding. If you are not sure please do not bid. I take my auctions seriously and so should you. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!! More than just a pretty picture. Try Vendio Image Hosting.
