As best we can tell, the truck was leased by Wal-Mart for service, then the lease was bought out at the end of the first term. The truck has not seen road salt. It looks presentable, runs and drives very well and needs nothing. It has mileage, but the truck was dealer serviced and doesn't feel tired at all. If you're looking for a 10 grand Duramax, this is a sound vehicle and a good buy. exterior The paint and body on this pickup look original. It hasn't seen road salt, so no body rust. The wheels look good, tires have fair tread left, and it hasn't had a hitch in the bed. The doors all open and close fine, tailgate has a new handle, and there's no cracks in the glass. The windshield is pitted, our cost is $125 if you'd like a new one. The truck shows 1 accident on Carfax, corresponding to a dent in the right front fender which was pushed out along with the bumper being tweaked a bit. It also has a little crease at the right rear cab corner. Other than that, a little normal road wear on the front end from the mileage, lower rockers, etc. White really doesn't show the wear like the darker colors. It's a nice looking pickup, just not new, nor should it be with 226k. The photos document it well. interior The interior is good overall. The drivers seat was worn when it came in, so we replaced the bolster panel. The truck does have a few burn marks on the drivers seat and carpet, but it doesn't reek of smoke. I'm picky, it's not a virgin, but it hasn't been chain smoked in. The dash, doors, and headliner are all fine. It has 1 hole in the center of the dash where a switch would've been mounted. We have the keyless clicker and manuals, along with a set of floor mats. Everything seems to be in good working order and the air blows cold. mechanical I drove this truck for 40 minutes before I bought it and was pleased. It'll sit cool at idle without getting warm, didn't have any warning lights on when we purchased it, nor smoking issues, or obvious leaks. The transmission fluid is red and it shifts fine, truck drives straight and the front end doesn't feel worn out. The batteries are good, and motor isn't rattly. I own/drive an 08 Duramax with higher mileage than this, and know what a tired one sounds like. This truck has been dealer maintained and came in needing very little. Really all we did was clean it, change the oil, filter, and fuel filter. The brake pad life is fine, belt, hoses, undercarriage, t-case, and diffs all properly sorted.
