Refinished in bright blue metallic over black interior, this classic near fifty-year old bug is in fabulous looking, running and driving condition! The working five-digit odometer shows 1,317 miles. I am told the car has just over 1,000 miles on a rebuilt 1200 cc engine. It sports a 4 speed manual transmission, original steering wheel, chrome hubcaps, original radio and more. I would rate the exterior of this car a solid "7.5" on a scale of 1-10. The repaint shines very nicely with a few minor blemishes and brush touched up paint chips. This is a VERY RUST-FREE example with superb shock towers and solid floor pans. The steel wheels could use a fresh paint coat and there is some light oxidation of a few of the aluminum and chrome areas. THE INTERIOR The interior of this classic Beetle is in VERY GOOD CONDITION overall. The recently installed carpeting is in very good condition, the seat upholstery is also VERY good with a small tear on the driver side seat cushion, the factory steering wheel shows some chipping. The headliner and door panels are in excellent condition as are the seat upholstery. The lights, blinkers and horn all work. The old radio is inop. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This Beetle starts on the first crank and the engine runs beautifully! The transmission shifts perfectly and the braking is excellent with even pedal feel. The suspension is tight and rattle free. There is an intermittent steering wheel shake at highway speeds. This is a crisp and fun driving little car that also gets great gas mileage!
