1967 CHEVELLE SS 396 4 SPEED Trim Tag Decoding: General MotorsST 03E- March / 5th weekTR 67 13817-SS396 Sport Coupe BAL - Baltimore Plant761 - Black Imitation Leather YY- Butternut Yellow Body and Roof As you can see the car was originally Butternut Yellow...it was repainted 15 years ago Bolero Red- personal preference of the owner- and it was in showing it's age.I decided to have the car stripped and repainted the Bolero Red- this car just looks so nice in Red.The paint is base coat clear coat ...wet sanded and buffed to a high gloss....and I must say it came out perfect. The car is laser straight -all gaps are factory correct. During restoration replaced all rubber gaskets around door trunk and under hood.The motor is a 1971 402 bored 30 over and has a mild cam... I would guess has about 10-15K on motor...sounds very nice...has factory manifolds and dual exhaust.Motor deck info: TO415CLB decodes as a 71 402/300 HPThe 4 speed is a munci- close ratio shifter.The interior is in excellent shape-no rips or tears- replaced the rear deck tray and the headliner is brand new also.This is a fine example of a 67 Chevelle..ready to show and enjoy..Spring is almost here. The true heartbeat of America-Chevelle SS! I have a Mass Title on the car...showing actual mileage of 89,500 in June of 2003. Only 3776 miles in the last 10 years.
