Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a great start to a 1946 Ford Pickup restoration project. The Truck retains its original flathead V8 and 3 Speed manual transmission that were rebuilt by the previous owner. I pulled the plugs and it appears that the engine only has assembly lube in it and has not been fired since the rebuild. It turns freely by hand. The same goes for the trans. We pulled the shifter cover and plate off and it is extremly clean and gears appear to be new. We cleaned and painted the exterior of both of them and re-installed. I do not know much about the flatheads so I am not attempting to make it run. It is complete minus exhuast manifolds from air cleaner to oil pan. The chassis is in great shape. It has had new king pins, springs, and steering parts placed. The original shocks were cleaned and re-mounted but not hooked up. It was also sand-blasted and painted. The cab is original sheetmetal. as are the doors fender and hood. All super solid, they recieved minor body work, primed, and painted with a single stage urethane paint. The fenders were done the same but left in a satin black finish. The bed comes with the truck but will need fairly extensive repair, it is not rusty but has obviously been used as a truck in its day. The rear fenders are nearly beyond repair but also come with the truck. I was going to make it a flatbed so none of this was going to be needed anyway. Also coming with the truck is an extra complete rear end and most of the parts to finish up the truck. All of the rubber seals in the cab, weatherstripping, etc. have been replaced with new. New heater hoses, the heater box was gone through and yes it does work when hooked up to a battery. The wiring harness appears to be new or an unbelievable original. New tail lights, plexiglass windows, and hoses. I also have new faces for the gauges in all the receipts for the new products. What it pictured is what you get. I have a clear title in hand. Call or text for more info 765-376-3486 Thanks and happy bidding!! I had some question on the truck and thought that would post the answers for all to see. Additionally I have added a photo of the new guage faces. The engine has been rebuilt, along with the trans but have not been fired or started. The extra parts that go with the truck as pictured are: Grille and hood trim, interior windshield trim, various gaskets, hardware, running board supports, drive shaft, complete rear end assembly, newer style upper radiator hoses, new heater valve, belts, rear brake drums, seat back, all of the wood that fits the inside of a stock bed and dividing strips. I have added up all the receipts that I recieved with the truck not counting what I have put into it and it totalls nearly $2000. Not included in this is the paint and body work, engine assembly/install, trans install, chassis paint and countless other things. Please bid with confidence this is a good start to a great project.
