Thanks for looking at my auction. Check my feedback and bid with confidence! Up for auction is our 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II in SE 7 (factory 7-seater trim). This fantastic rover is offered for repair/parts as I believe the head gasket may have blown. I have maintained and repaired this car, and with two other projects in the garage, I'm just out of time to be able to dedicate to giving this a proper hg job. I am the original owner of this car, so it is a one-owner car. Here are some bullet points about this car: - Professionally rebuilt the transmission about 3,000 miles ago, so it is a shame the gasket blew. The transmission is virtually new- I replaced the factory air lifts with a coils and properly reprogrammed the SLABS unit to indicate so- There has NEVER been a 3 amigos problem with this rover- Hill descent, heater, A/C, etc. all work and are strong- This truck was a very strong rover before the gasket blew; when it blew I immediately shut it down and brought it home where it is sitting today- The interior seating is in great shape, with only some wear where the driver gets in- This rover has the cold climate package with heated seats, heated front windshield- Both sunroofs work- Tires are in ok shape, the spare (rear mounted) is new- This rover has the premium factory audio (220W, 12-speaker system with steering mounted controls)- No airbags have ever been deployed What doesn't work and noteworthy:- The passenger rear window does not work- The driver rear seat does not fold up all the way (it will fold down, but does not unlock from floor to fold up)- Although this car has never been in an accident, there is damage to the front bumper (passenger side) because of an ill-time turn at less than 1mph during a parking maneuver- The CD changer does not work- There is some chassis rust towards the rear of the vehicle This auction comes with:- Original owner's manual in the Land Rover binder- Original sticker- Original two Land Rover VHS tapes (video handbook and guide to off road driving)- Two remote keys (one of the keys has a missing button cover but is still fully functioning) Like I mentioned, this was a fantastic, strong running rover that could easily cruise at 75MPH and then some. No shakes, shimmies, etc., it was just a fantastic solid car and wonderful when the weather turned foul here in Connecticut. I'm looking for a good home for this trusty rover, someone that will want to give it proper attention for a gasket job, etc. or if you're incline to use it for parts (I invested $4,000 in the transmission rebuild recently), there is plenty here. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much.On Feb-24-13 at 13:19:56 PST, seller added the following information: SAVE MONEYON SHIPPING! uShip is the first and largest auction stylemarketplace for shipping and transportationservices.
