1997 Ford F-250 XLT Crew Cab 4x4 7.3L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel, manual transmission, short bed. It has 141,602 original miles. It is in great condition with minimal wear and tear for this year and mileage. The exterior is Bright Red/White two tone. The interior is gray cloth. It is a one-owner truck. It was purchased new in California and has remained on the west coast its entire life, so no rust. Per previous owner, Carfax, and autocheck, it has never been in an accident. It has all the standard XLT features and some aftermarket upgrades. Here are a few of the notable features: cruise control, power windows/locks, 4.10 limited slip axle, Prodigy electric trailer brake, bed liner, dual fuel tanks, CR Lawrence sliding rear window, and much more. The truck comes with three keys and the owner’s manual. On the interior, all the power windows and door locks, etc. work great. A/C and heater work great. No smoke odor! The cloth interior of the truck is in nice condition with some wear showing on the driver’s seat. The gauges and other dash controls look very nice. The carpet, headliner, and door panels are in great condition. The areas of notable wear are as follows: the driver’s seat has a very small tear and some wear; the motor for the lumbar support on driver’s side turns on, but lumbar support does not seem to air up; there are a couple of small stains in rear carpet (there is a rear carpet runner, but I removed it for pictures). The exterior of the truck is in great condition. The paint is very shiny and glossy. As you look down the sides of the truck, it is straight and the paint is very reflective. The most notable areas of wear are as follows: there is a dent on the back of the cab near top corner on driver’s side; there are some scratches in the bed and the owner removed a fifth wheel hitch (the mounting brackets for a Super Glide hitch are still under the truck); normal wear and tear including some minimal scratches, dings, and rock chips. The bed liner was added to give the truck a finished appearance. The tire size is 285/75/16. The tires have approximately 60-70% tread remaining. The aluminum wheels are in excellent condition. Mechanically, the engine runs very strong. The manual transmission shifts perfectly. Several years ago the owner replaced the factory clutch and pressure plate with heavy-duty components. Over the years, the owner has also replaced the Starter, Water Pump, Vacuum Pump, Fuel Pump, Front Brakes, and Steering Linkage. Both batteries were replaced last month. The suspension and steering are solid. This truck starts right up in the morning. The truck is running on synthetic oil. Being a 1997, this is the last year of the square body F-250’s. The crew cab, short box, 4x4, 7.3L’s are very rare. This one has been meticulously maintained. Below are over 90 pictures to accurately disclose the condition of the truck. The 7.3L Power Stroke was one of the best engines ever made (before they got all the emissions stuff the new ones have). This is a NO RESERVE auction and the high bidder takes the truck home.
