The paint job is over 25 years old. The passenger side front floor board needs to be replaced. It is not bad but is rusted through. The car is solid, turns heads and is a driver not a show car. It is awesome for cruising, for going to the drive in, and for going to car shows. The car gets attention and thumbs up. The last 3 pictures show damage that happened when a wind storm collapsed a bay door that slapped the back of the Fairlane. The car needs a new drivers side rear quarter. The car needs to be painted, it was originally Frost Turquoise, or robin egg blue. Best of luck and you will be getting a great car that is all there, just needs someone who can paint it. On Feb-11-13 at 10:47:27 PST, seller added the following information: Took the car out today for a drive, I had failed to mention that the windshield has two cracks from Lubbock TX street work, where they lay down rocks on black tar and let the cars roll it flat, so stupid, but did want to mention it. Also, just so everyone is aware the car is for sale locally too. And lastly, I have all reciepts from all work done to car from previous owner and me. I have over $22K invested in the engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, tires and wheels. I also have the original wheels, however so you know the original owner wanted GT wheels, since the car sold in July of 1967, the dealer only had the 68 year model GT rims. These are the chrome with dog dish with GT in the middle. They are included in the sale, they have brand new tires on all four rims. There is no spare tire or jack included in this auction, the truck is lined in black carpet. Feel free to ask me any questions as I want to be open and honest about this car. Best of luck bidding!!! http://youtu.be/aXGXN4fS7U8 Link to a short video I shot today, I am not a professional, that is my disclaimer if you get motion sick, but really it is not bad. On Feb-13-13 at 17:40:19 PST, seller added the following information: I got a question about the serial #, it is on the Marti Report 7K42S116541 7 = 1967 K = Built in Kansas City 42 = Fairlane GT 2-Door Hardtop S = 390-4V and it was the 16,541st vehicle scheduled for production at KC. This Fairlane is an original GTA the A is for Automatic Transmission. This Fairlane is a tru S Code car, came with the 390 and 4 barrell carb. This Fairlane, per the Marti Report is one of only 256 cars produced as a Frost Turquoise GTA w/Black GT Interior This Fairlane came with 3.25 axle ratio, I changed it to the optional 3.89 ratio, however I have the original 3.25:1 and it goes with the car. $10906.00 in Engine work - Balanced Blueprinted Special Grind Cam Custom Polish on Heads and Intake $5644.00 in Suspension work - New from Dearborn Classics Rear Leaf Springs Front Coil Springs Subframe Connector Brake Lines Brakes Master Cylinder Brake Booster Vaccumm Pump for Brake Booster $1400 M/T S/R Drag Radials and Weld Wheels $5000 Misc. Including Moroso Aluminum Valve Covers, Stage 8 Fasteners for Headers and Valve Covers New Tires for GT rims, etc. Great Car! Don't Miss Out!!! On Feb-15-13 at 07:41:28 PST, seller added the following information: Checking Brake Fluid Levels - Found the brake fluid a little dark for my liking, so today the Fairlane is getting a brake line flush, and fill with fresh brake fluid. Drove the car to work yesterday, got several horn beeps and thumbs up from others, even with the body work and paint needing to be freshened up it is a looker!!! Good Luck Bidding!!! Listing for 3 days, added Buy it Now, if not sold in 3 days, going off the market, this is your chance to own a car with over $30K invested from the day I purchased it for $12K Best of Luck!!! On Feb-19-13 at 05:30:14 PST, seller added the following information: Brake flush ended up with replacing a couple of rubber lines and proportioning valve, so brakes are all like new again, shoes and pads like new per mechanic. Last day, little over 16 hours left on the Fairlane. Bid with confidence and Bid Often!!!!
