Vehicle Detail
1990 Chevrolet Silverado Blazer - 4X4 - All Original - Beautiful Condition This is my Blazer. I have owned many Blazers, but this one is in a class by itself. It is absolutely beautiful, all original, rust free, and it is a real pleasure to drive. Everything works, I mean everything. There are no issues period. I am only selling it because I am moving and need to get rid of some toys. It has not been raised or lowered, painted, wrecked, or off-roaded. The engine has not been replaced or modified. The interior is beautifully intact, and no knucklehead has cut holes for his favorite speakers or drilled holes to mount whatever aftermarket crap he could imagine. It has the original factory paint in beautiful shiny condition with only a few minor blemishes that would be a expected from a vehicle of this age. Please don't buy this awesome survivor with thoughts of "restoration", please. Original beautiful survivors such as this one are becoming extinct. Tick tock, if you want one you need to get serious soon. I invite you to come see it and drive it, or ask me any questions. This is in top mechanical condition and ready to be driven across country or I will stand by and wait for the transportation of your choice. With that said, I will try to describe in more detail. Exterior - Original two tone blue (Light Blue B8944 & Black Sapphire B8745). These are factory colors and are still available from DuPont and GM. The pin striping had deteriorated after those 22 years and was professionally replaced last year. There is no body damage. There is no rust. I have tried to show what few blemishes do exist, but I don't consider them worth repair. The chrome bumpers are bright and rust free without any damage whatsoever. The grill work is very nice without any blemishes, The signal lenses are bright and clear both front and rear. The Silverado and other emblems are excellent. The stainless trim is very good. Interior - Beautiful blue. The dash is new. The dash trim is new. The Silverado emblem is new. $$$. The door panel trim is new. The gauge bezel is new. The seats are in excellent condition with no rips, tears, or excessive signs of wear. Authentic Chevrolet floor mats. The carpet is in good condition, no tears, and no excessive wear. However, after all these years, the carpet is a little faded, hardly noticeable, and you may consider replacing it. This is the only thing on the entire Blazer that I would consider changing if I kept it. There is a custom matching "Husky" cargo mat at the rear, that covers some minor carpet stains. The spare tire is new, and is covered. The headliner and rear ceiling are clean, and the top and all mounting hardware is clean and shiny. All interior courtesy lighting is operational. While installing the new dash, the a/c ducts were removed, cleaned and reinstalled with proper connecting material to insure that no loss of air flow would occur, and the entire dash area was cleaned, before installing the new dash pad. All gauges, switches, and controls work as they should and all dash illumination is operational. The ash tray has been cleaned and painted in anticipation of a no smoking policy. Air Conditioner and Heating - The system has been converted to R134 and blows ice cold. The blower fan is new and very quiet. Air flow is exceptionally good, requiring only low setting on fan speed. All engine heater hoses have been replaced. All controls work as they should. The heater works, and the ducts work properly so that no hot air enters the compartment unless you want it. All firewall openings and grommets have been inspected for a quiet and pleasant trip. Engine and drive train - The 5.7 liter (350cid) original engine is quiet and powerful. It starts easily, and runs smooth. A major tune up has been performed with rotor, cap, spark wires, spark plugs. The oil is changed regularly and is very clean. There are no service engine lights. The exhaust is completely new, with new muffler, catalytic converter, and O2 sensor. The radiator is new and lifetime guaranteed, with new radiator hoses, and never overheats, even in heavy traffic. The transmission shifts smoothly. The 4-wheel drive engages easily and works as it should. U-joints have been replaced on the main drive shaft. Rancho RS9000 shocks. Goodyear A/T tires with plenty of tread left, and no dry rot. Brakes are excellent. Stereo - The original factory radio has been replaced, and it will be delivered along with the Blazer to the buyer. An aftermarket Pioneer stereo has been installed with an installation kit. NO modifications were made to the dash or the bezel. An adapter was used to avoid modifications to the original harness. This a plug and play installation that can be reversed easily. The Pioneer stereo allows for an auxiliary input such as an iPod or other. An aux input cable and power supply has been conveniently located in the refurbished cigarette lighter tray. A remote control is included. 2 front dash speakers and 2 rear side speakers are new. In addition, a Sony powered sub woofer has been mounted behind the spare tire. This is a perfect fit and does not take valuable space in the rear area. The stereo sound is amazing, but definitely not designed to be a boom box. It simply delivers the quality sound that was missing in 1990. Enhancements - No permanent modifications have been made. · American Racing wheels are the nicest ones I have ever seen on a Blazer. · KC Lights mounted on Chrome bumper extension · Smitty chrome sidesteps Here are my simple terms… If you have a question please ask BEFORE you bid.
