This is a 1971 Vega 2 Dr Hatchback. I have owned it since 1984. My dad used it for a couple of years. This 71 Vega is original excluding the Holly Carb and manifold was taken off a 1974 for the two barrel and the radiator came from a Camaro. The engine is a 2300 and is original with steel sleeves. Has a 2 speed automatic transmission and stock rear differential. We replaced the speedometer along with the dash to a GT dash. The car has in excess of 200,000. The engine was rebuilt in 2005 and it was a daily driver until 2009. We drive it once per month up and down the street after that. The fuel pump went out in June of 2012 and it has not been driven since then, so the fuel pump needs to be replaced before it is driven. This has been a great car and it is difficult to let it go but we would rather see someone put it to use and who has the time to fix it up. We put new carpet in 2008 and inspected all the floor boards at that time and they were good. In 2009 before the fuel pump went out, we replaced the door weather stripping. The drivers side door needs new hinges because it to sags a little. The care has minor rust and small dents due to age. The major rust we found was below the window area as in the picture but we could not find any other major rust issues. We noticed the front transmission seal leaks a little along with a little noise from the valves or piston area. The bucket seats have been replaced with Green Vega GT ones. The front and rear valances are missing. All the lights front and back are in good condition. This car comes with 4 extra Vega GT wheels with mismatched tires. Two of them are snow tires. As in the pictures we have extra chrome pieces for the Vega also and some misc brake and heater core parts. We also have a clear Title and this car has never been in a wreck since we have had it. It has been a great car for us.
