Presented for auction is the Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. The 1959 retractable convertible was the last year for the model and was only made for 3 months. The Fairlane's stowaway steel roof made a “dream car” for the masses and was even a must-have for the President of the United States! This car has been lovingly owned for about 15 years and superbly cherished and cared for. The restoration was completed in 2009 and restored the car to its most original, classic condition. Not only does this car drives like a dream, but also the retractable top convertible is a show by itself. The retractable top functions flawlessly. The Fairlane flies with the 352 police interceptor engine. This engine was completely rebuilt to perfection with just under 900 miles. This classic drives flawlessly and is ready to show or for cruising! Exterior details: Beautiful fawn tan/colonial white exterior with a deep shine. Paint rating 9.7/10 The chrome is bright and clean with no rust. All signals and lights work entirely. Retractable top realignment in November 2011 by Wayne Rollins and functions perfectly.
