Vehicle Detail
1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible. Only 2276 of these vehicles were produced in 1967. This vehicle is finished in Medium Blue Metalic "Q" Code Paint and Dark Blue Leather "2B" Code Interior. This vehicle is very original but needs a complete restoration. The convertible top does not work but is complete with no missing mechanical parts. The convertible top itself has the center section torn out and will definitely need replaced. The rear flapper is disconnected and is included in the sale of this vehicle. The car has been in storage since 1978, and although it was inside it was subject to some condensation which has deteriorated the paint and caused surface rust on the under carriage. The trunk floor and rear floor boards are OK but there is rust through on small sections of the front floor boards and other areas of this vehicle. The driver's side inner fender well is also in poor condition and has seperated from the outer fender. The 462 V-8 is complete. The dash is very nice with no cracks. The steering column is cracked where the gear select lever is and the transmission linkage is disconnected. The drive shaft is disconnected and has a dent in it. All of the trim is present except for the "Continental" Letters on the front nose, the hood ornament, the front left fender peak molding, the front wheel well trim and the passenger side rocker trim. There is a dent on the left rear door that looks like it can be easily bumped back out. The blue leather interior is in average condition with some wear and other blemishes present. The main problem with the seats is the rear seat top that has had some shrinkage at the seam for about 2 inches. I have seen this on other Lincolns of the area. The brake lines and fuel lines need replaced. The hood latch cable is broken so the hood can't be put all the way down. However, the hood opens and closes nicely-just can't be latched until the cable is replaced. (A working hood latch and cable are now included with the sale) This 1967 Lincoln has most of the standard Lincoln options including A/C, Speed (Cruise Control), Town and Country AM-FM Radio and Power Vent Windows. The windows do not work. Again, this car is complete but needs a complete restoration. It can not be driven from my garage and will definitely need to be shipped. I can assist your shipping company with loading. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer and the buyer is responsible for picking the transporter of their choice. Please ask any questions through the ebay system and I will get back to you right away. I definitely want the new buyer to be happy with this car. The car has a very realistic reserve. I will not end this auction early. The free and clear title is in my name. The key to this car is that it needs work but is all there for restoration. It is being sold in "as is" condition. Since I originally listed this vehicle I have been working on it. I have replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap, condensor, points and spark plug wires. I have also replaced the starter with a rebuilt one and the starting sylenoid. I have marvel mystery oil in the cylenders but I have not been able to turn over the engine. I have the carburetor working completely freely. The ignition switch turns on the power and the dash warning lights. I have changed the oil and filter. I have replaced the rear convertible top switch and its continuity works perfectly. The following like new parts are included in the sale: 1. Deck Lid Hydraulic Motor and Hoses (Works perfectly) 2. Convertible Top Hydraulic Motor and Hoses (Works perfectly) 3. Left and Right Rear Deck Lid Screws/Cables 4. Rear Deck Lid Screws/Cables Center Motor (Works perfectly) 5. Rear Deck Lid Flapper Control Arm and Motor (No limit Switch) (Motor Works) 6. Complete Main Top Control Relay Control Panel 7. Small Rear Relay Control Panel (Missing 1 Relay) 8. Rust Free Red Rear Deck Lid (Still has factory inspection stamp) 9. Rust Free Red Convertible Top Bottom Metal piece (Shaped like the flapper) These parts are all extras and the originals of all of these are still on the vehicle as well. If you do use this car for parts, all of these extras will definitely help you. A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction close and full payment is due within 7 days. I welcome any questions or in person inspections. If you are not going to be able to arrange shipping or pick up the vehicle for a reasonable period of time please contact me before the end of the auction. Thanks for looking. On Feb-10-13 at 15:36:55 PST, seller added the following information: I have decided to add one extra set of parts: I am adding a complete set of convertible top automatic unlocking and locking mechanism. This includes the unlocking motor, the main top down/up switch and mechanism, two lock/unlock switches that sense if the mechanism is locked or not and the linkages. These are extras and the originals are on also on the car. These extras are rust free and in excellent condition. I will try to add a couple pictures of these parts but I may not be able to. Thanks again!
