Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This is a real 1965 Mustang K-code in need of a deserving restoration. The best approach would be to dip or blast it and repair sections of the car versus trying to replace everything with repro metal. Just assume everything will need to be touched in some way as it's pretty rusty. Before I get to the car details, please know that there is no title or old registration for this car- you will be supplied with only an official Connecticut State Bill of Sale form CT H-31. CT does not issue titles for cars this old. The car is a factory black on black with a 4 spd transmission, which is a very desirable combo. The k code specific rear end bumper is original and still on the floor and the VIN is on two aprons (one more clear than the other – see pictures). I have rear exhaust hanger reinforcement pans not pictured that go with the car (you can see the originals were cut out). The clutch pedal support bracket is still there as is the fatback specific headliner bows, the rear fastback glass, and some of the door window chrome. The front clip was removed to do cowl repairs. What you see on the car is what you get - nothing else available. It's on an autotwiler dolly made for a mustang but modified for use as a jig so metal replacement is easier. The dolly/jig is not included - the car will need to be dragged onto your trailer via a winch or you can do it with a flatbed tow truck. I would sell the dolly/jig after the auction to the winning bidder for an extra $750 if that makes it easier to move - otherwise the dolly isn't leaving the property. Why restore a coupe for 10K and get a 7K car or a regular fastback and have a 15K car, when you can spend the same amount of money on a k-code and end up with a 30-60K car! Selling the car as is where is. $150 deposit due within 48 hrs of auction close with full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Car must be picked up within 3 weeks of auction close. Please ask any questions before bidding – thanks and good luck. On Feb-08-13 at 06:21:05 PST, seller added the following information: I have received a number of questions so updating the listing to be more specific. The rear exhaust brackets are there as well as the choke hole in the firewall - pictures can be emailed if needed. K-codes came in gt and non-gt form - this car is a non-gt factory k code. The under body does not have a rubber bumper on the snubber plate because this car had it on the rearend as all k-codes did. The front suspension is intact - the rearend was sold about 10 years ago and now lives in a shelby so there is no rearend included. There is no steering box. Hope this helps - good luck.
