Being relisted due to NON PAYING BIDDER! Do NOT bid if you have no intention of completing the transaction!Up for auction is a nice example of a 1982 Aston Martin Lagonda (the 1980 year designation above is in error). The Lagonda is a luxury four-door sedan that was built by Aston Martin of Newport Pagnell, England, between 1974 and 1990. A total of 645 were produced. The name was derived from the Lagonda marque that Aston Martin had purchased in 1947. There were two very distinct versions, the short-lived 1974 saloon based on the Aston Martin V8, and the contrasting ultra-modern version in 1976 (also known as the Series 2). I acquired the vehicle as part of a debt settlement approximately seven or eight months ago and was considering keeping it due to its rarity. However, I have since decided that I really have no need for it. When I received the car it had no functioning brakes. $1500 later it now has brakes! It’s also unique in that the previous owner converted the vehicle to run on propane. It runs just like any other car but is fueled by propane. It recently passed the stringent CA smog test and also has current registration (just renewed this month). Considering that the car is 30 years old the overall condition is very nice. There are no dents, dings or any major damage on the body. The paint is pearl white and glossy, however, I cannot attest to the condition of the car other than what is visible. The interior is equally in good condition. It’s essentially ready to go. Since it was not my personal car I cannot provide you with any further information. I cannot attest to its history – maintenance or otherwise – nor can provide any information as to its reliability, functionality or any other aspect of its operation. Also it does not appear to have a regular mileage gauge (at least none that I can see) so it’s impossible for me to tell the exact mileage on the car. I can attest to the fact that it starts, drives, stops and is functional. There are documents relating to the propane conversion and I’m sure that it could be converted back to a gasoline engine if so desired. Since so little is known about the car there is nothing further that I can really add. It’s being sold in as is and where is condition. I have a clear CA title in hand and a recent smog certificate. The car is located in Costa Mesa, CA and can be viewed by appointment only. Please call my assistant Eder at 714-768-1681 should you have any questions or wish to view the car in person.
