UNIQUE BARN FIND I have a 1966 Convertible Impala for sale. I purchased the car 6 months ago and had plans to fix it. Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to do so. I bought this car from an older gentleman. He purchased the car in 1984 and he drove the car for 3 years. Then he parked it inside his barn. When I spoke to him he said the car had been parked since 1987. So it had been in the barn for 26 years. It's still the original yellow color and original interior and original top. Don't know if it's the original motor but it looks like it might be. At this moment the car does not run. It's missing the distributor and a battery and of course it's been parked for 26 years. The convertible top needs the plastic window. The top goes up and down manually. The original owner said the top was able to go up and down with the touch of a button but I haven't done nothing since I bought the car. Windows go up and down fine. It's got the original hupcaps. All the glass is in perfect condition. The body has some dents and scratches here and there but nothing big. There's one side on the driver's side back quarter panel that needs fixing and that's the biggest body damage. The frame is really good just some surface rust nothing bad. Floors are good. Only one spot on the back about 5 inches that needs fixing. The trunk is good just some surface rust. It's an easy project people just remember the car needs a complete restoration and some loving.
