1957 Chevrolet Nomad 283 4 barrel powerglide 1957 Nomad with original 283 power pack 4 barrel with powerglide trans. Engine does run off a gas can. No strange noises or smoke. Was in a barn in Harrisburg , PA for 30 + years. I bought it a couple months ago , but can not afford to give it the restoration it deserves. Exterior of body has some rust , but not real bad. Worst of the rust is floors , floor braces , inner rockers and rear inner wheel wells. Cargo area , spare tire well and all door jambs are solid. No rust around windshield or drip rails around roof. Car comes with complete 2 piece floors , braces and inner rockers. Nice uncut dash with original radio. Came with factory power brakes. I removed the original booster and master cylinder , but it is included. All glass is nice with no cracks . Nice stainless. Front seat and dr side front door panel are missing. I have original rear seat. Original exterior colors are red with white roof. Original interior is red and black. Clear title in my name. Rolls and steers very easy. Possible local delivery , but inquire before bidding. Buyer is otherwise responsible for arranging and paying for shipping. Car is available for inspection. Please ask all questions before bidding. I have no way to put it on a lift to take pictures of underside. 1957 Nomads are the rarest of all the tri-5 Chevys , with just over 6000 produced. Not many left worth restoring. This is a car i would love to keep , but the current economy is forcing me to let it go. I apologize for ending the previous auction. I had a local offer , but the deal fell apart. I will NOT end this auction early. I will include a 'buy it now' at the request of some previous bidders. There is a reserve , but it is much lower than the 'buy it now' price.
