Thank you for viewing my auction. DON'T BE BASHFUL MAKE A OFFER It may be on a local auction saturday as well as the others I have listed. Lowered lowered lowered. But If I can't get a fair price I may just keep it and use it the cow pasture.(as it as cheap as a gator). It would be great for a person that believes in prepping as it doesn't have all the electronics that could plague the newer trucks. it was built by a company that builds armored vehicles( google them and see) . The drive train is stronger than ANY of the newer trucks especially the FORDS and CHEVIES. And I own them both. I really think I'm wasting my time here on Ebay, but I will list this and we will see. I have marked the price as low as I am going to but I am open to offers. I have around 9k in it. I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL IT, but I do have too many trucks. I had it listed for 12 k which may have been high, but we all like try to make something. Especially on something that is rare and will not likely be found again. These 7- 8,000 or so dollar bids probabally will not buy this as I have turned down several already. I do appreciate your offers very much though. I know its always fun to try to get something for nothing, or for a steal. I understand that, but I still consider this truck a steal at 10,500. Especially with the deflation of the dollar. Come see and drive this truck before auction ends. I have tried to show plenty of pictures so you can see what you are getting. This is a 1992 ford f superduty (f450) cab and chassis. It has less than 16,000 (15831) original miles on it. That is right less than 16000 miles on it. It is a marmon-herrington automotive 4wd conversion. It has pto winch and a large brush guard. The lever in the cab that works the winch is missing. One of the people at the shop where it was in service had made a custom one and took it when they took the truck out of service.1 It has a 7.3 idi ( non powerstroke/ no turbo) diesel engine in it , that give less trouble than the powerstokes and are cheaper to work on. The transmission is a zf 5 speed with a divorced transfer case. The front axle is a dana 70 (that is what is stamped on the housing)and I believe the rear is a dana 80, and they have 5.13 to 1 gears. (The newer 550 ford trucks only have a dana 50 in the front and a jeep only had a dana 44 in the front.) This one has a 70 . Don't be alarmed on the gearing, as this is what all of these trucks with the diesel came with from ford as well (I have a friend with two, and both are geared the same). It belonged to the Rochester N.Y. dive team and was garaged all its life. but this isn't your typical northern rust bucket. The frame was undercoated so rust damage is minimal and nothing I would be concerned with. But I didn't paint it to cover it up. I really didn't see much or any in the cab. A few of the brake lines were rough on the rear, and after sitting a little while a caliper stuck up, so I replaced them (rear only). It has 4 wheel disk brakes. It has a interior that is like new (seats, floormat,door panels)with power windows(not oem/ after market), with only a few holes drilled in the dash, but there are no cracks, It has dual fuel tanks. It is lifted up pretty well but all of this was done in the 4wd conversion. The tires look new, and they are all goodyear all terrain radials. It has aluminum running boards. The muffler is rusted out from the inside out ( condensation). It runs as it should, and I drove it from New York. This truck is awesome just my plans have changed since I bought it, and I have alot of trucks, . It is priced fairly for what I have in it and what it is. It is a twenty year old truck but I believe it a great asset to whom ever it ends up with. I reserve the right to end the auction early. It doesn't have a bed but I wouldn't be scared to drive anywhere, it just rides rough without the bed(no weighton the rear) Don't wait around as this rare and nice truck with these low miles may not last the full auction , Deposit at end of auction. Cash in person on pickup. Once again it was under coated for the most part. What is saved in property taxes and insurance in 5-10 years will go along way towards paying for it (if not all), over a brand new truck. The measurement from the rear of the cab to the center of rear axle is 7 feet or 84 inches. From the rear of the cab to the end of the frame is 11feet 5 inches. It weighs 7360 pounds as it sits. It was extended slightly on the end of the frame for the previous body(about 5-6 inches) . Hope the additional pictures and measurements help. As you can see this truck isn't hurt. The spot in the passenger side door isn't rust, it is a grease spot. I also wanted you to be able to see the rockers, doors, and door sills. These look the way they should. Look close they are clean. The undercoating did a great job. And the frame really only gets rusty (surface rust)from the rear axle back to the rear. And it won't cause any problems. As I said earlier I didn't want to cover it up yet as I want you to see what you are buying. I was asked if thought the mileage is correct. I have no reason to doubt what I was told when I purchased it, but I guess I might be too trusting. I have seen speciality vehicles before without almost no miles, but this is the first one I was able to get for myself. And the general overall condition leaves no doubt in my mind these are original miles. Let me know if payment or anything will be a problem I wasn't sure the best way to list payment terms. But if truck isn't as I have described it you don't have to take it once you get here or you don't like it you don't have to take it.
