Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This is a 1965 Mustang fastback project built in October 64 so its an early one. It’s a C-code 289 car (5F09C) automatic tranny car. It's a Raven Black exterior paint from the factory with a standard Red interior- a rare and beautiful combination. A pretty solid car that would make a nice winter project. Before I get to the car details, please know that there is no title or old registration for this car- you will be supplied with only an official Connecticut State Bill of Sale form CT H-31. CT does not issues titles for cars this old. This car does not run, brakes don't work but the car does role fine. The vin number is on the engine compartment apron and has the original door tag- this isn't some junker pulled out of a junkyard like most of the fastbacks you see on ebay. All the fastback glass is there but most of the interior fastback specific pieces are gone- those are easy to find at swapmeets. Its overall very complete but some parts are missing as you can see from the pictures- what you see is what you get. The expensive weatherstrip trim and channels are there which is nice. Front shock towers seem pretty solid as are the front rails. The front 8 inches or so of the pass side front frame rail end needs to be fixed as its dented and may have rust- from the shock tower back the rail seems good as does the drivers side rail. The rear frame rails in front of the wheel where the spring mounts appear to be real good, i believe one side does need a patch at the very rear towards the taillight panel. Overall it is very solid but it does need some floor work, rocker and quarter patching etc. Its a restoration project that will need some welding and replacement but a very good car to start with. The hood and fenders are kind of ruff, the trunk lid appears ok. The engine is not frozen so with a battery and some tinkering it may be possible to get her running (would still need brake work). Selling that car as is where is as. $150 deposit due within 48 hrs of auction close with full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Car must be picked up within 3 weeks of auction close. I am in Bristol, CT but can arrange you inspecting the car if needed- it’s stored in Suffield, CT. Please ask any questions before bidding.
