Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1996 Chevy Caprice Classic 4-door. This is the 5.7L V8 LT1 Corvette engine. We have maintained this car over the last few years with numerous repairs and upgrades, including: - Complete front end brake replacement including lines, rotors, pads, fluid, bearings, seals, etc. - Complete transmission rebuild - 2 New tires - New battery - New alternator and A/C compressor drive belts - New fan motor The car is NOT currently running. Shortly after the front-end rebuild the car developed an issue with bogging down while driving. We believe this has something to do with the fuel system, either the pump or simply the fuel filter. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to research the issue and do not know for sure. The car has sat in our driveway for the last few months and has since stopped running. The battery was replaced about 6 months ago, but will most likely require a recharge since it has sat. The car does show wear inside and out. The interior is clean, but the leather has cracked over time. The radio works as well as the cd player, however the antenna is missing so the radio does not pick up many stations. Exterior paint is worn from the sun. We have invested over $2500 in repairs and maintenance. This is a great car with a lot of potential - the LT1 motor has great response and power when driving and would be worth the purchase for the engine alone. This car is used and sold AS IS. No warranty or guarantee of condition is provided. I do have documentation for all repairs listed. Buyer is responsible for ALL transportation needs. I have done my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, and am more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
