Beautiful, fully restored VW Westy. Nice and dry, absolutely no rust. Sat stored for years in West Virginia 26,000 original miles! First off, everything was removed and any panels that needed to be replaced were flanged and spot welded in. Then the entire floor was coated in POR15, then undercoated. Next the shell went a professional body shop as a rolling chassis to have body work and sanded down and painted in the original color inside and out - floors, engine compartment, etc. It was painted in its original color sage green. While the bus was being painted the motor and automatic transmission were rebuilt. The bus maintains its original fuel injected set up. It runs drives and shifts perfect. New battery. All fuel lines injectors, gas tank sending unit seals and etc were replaced. When it was reassembled all the seals, window scrapers, doors seals, hatch seals, sliding door seals, grommets - everything has been replaced. The pop top was also painted and the canvas has been replaced. On the inside, the facet, pump water lines, wiring harness was gone over and anything that need to be replaced was. Carpets are unavailible at this time from GoWesty, so it does maintain the original carpets, which are in okay condition. Holes were cut for speakers in the door panels. Has slight exhaust leak because of a few pin holes in the muffler. Bumpers are decent, but not perfect. New seat pedestal mats and kick panels from go West. New uphostery for the front seats and new padding with the original plaid green material. It has a original gas heater that works some of the time. All heating ducts, cables and etc have been replaced. Solid front beam. Good tires and brakes. Basically this bus is ready to go!
