The Good: Hands down, this Camaro is one of the nicest you will find. Absolutely NO RUST in this car, one of the most solid bodies ever....if you want to have someone come inspect it, that is no problem at all, just give a call to set it up. I am selling this for a friend (for no charge or fees) who hasn't driven it much at all in the last year, but has invested thousands into it over the last two years. In that time period, the following has been done to the car: New 700R automatic transmission w/overdrive New Edelbrock aluminum heads New roller rockers New ceramic headers New Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and exhaust (sounds very tough) New Edelbrock carburetor New Flex Fan New Edelbrock aluminum intake New Edelbrock aluminum water pump New Edelbrock high performance fuel pump w/ pressure regulator (he bought an Edelbrock Performer RPM top end kit and then some other items to match it) New gas tank New steering wheel New headliner and dash pad New center console New front disc brake conversion kit professionally installed New heater core New heater hoses Entire new front end (complete) He has had the car about 6 years and the paint was new at that time. The paint job is beautiful, as is everything else on the car. I just helped him put the new top-end kit on the motor and he has photos of all the parts before we put them on. When the heads were off the engine, we inspected the cylinder walls and they looked fine. The motor and trans are not original to the car. The engine is a 350 and the trans is a 700r4 with less than 1000 miles on it since being rebuilt. When he had the trans installed by the shop, they did not put the shifter conversion to have the correct shift pattern for the overdrive. He ordered this and an adjustable shifter cable from Shift Works this morning and they will both be installed this weekend along with the shifter plate, which shows the car to have overdrive on the face plate and retains the factory look. The Bad: The car does not have a radio and does not have a choke. When we put the top end kit on it, we first put on a Holley Street Avenger carb that had an electric choke, but he switched to a new Edelbrock carb, which runs great....but does not have a choke (although one can be installed). He bought a manual choke cable which can be installed, but is still new in the package. We could put this on also if one wanted, or you could buy an electric choke conversion, which is not that hard to install. The only thing the car will need is a transmission kickdown cable installed, these are about 50 bucks or so at Auto Zone and are not that hard to install. I do a lot of the stuff on the car for him when I can, as he is not mechanically inclined, but he lives an hour away so it is hard to get up there much with us both working normal jobs. The car will need some tires on it in the near future, as they are showing dry cracks from age. Overall: With all that taken into account, this is a great deal on a Camaro and priced accordingly to allow some to put in a radio and tires. Look at the other Camaros out there and you will see this is the best deal around. He has well over 20k invested in the car. Anyone who comes to look at it will not be disappointed.
