Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking. I am selling this restored 1965 El Camino so I can restore my Model A that was gave to me when my grandfather passed. This is a true California car. It was built in Fremont California and has been here all of its life. It is the CUSTOM model. Super Sports were not released into the El Camino line until 1966. Prior to the Super Sport, the Custom was the top of the line. This car/truck is very clean and reliable. One of the nicest El Caminos I have seen. I would say that it is a solid 8 (maybe 8.5) on a scale of 10 if 10 was flawless. Starts right up and drives like a newer car. Doors close better than my new truck. As far as I know all features work other than the gas gauge and the air control cable just broke. The gas gauge works intermittently. There is no rust that I could find. Especially in the normal spots (hood, back of cab, bed, and tail gate). The tail gate is solid and closes as nice as the doors. The floor boards are original and rust free. There is a spot on the lower rear driver fender where the paint is a little bubbled. I felt the bubbles and they are solid, not rusted or soft. I have no idea what from. I included a picture. That is the worst part of the car in my opinion. The engine is a 350 from a 69-70 truck. Very strong. Has an intake, Edelbrock 600 carb, brand new Accel billet HEI distributor, Accel wires, and a fresh tune up. Dual flowmaster exhaust all the way back. New radiator, hoses, and belts. The transmission is a factory Muncie 4 speed. Very fun!! All of the suspension has been gone through within the last couple of years. New shocks, springs, tie rod ends, brakes, etc. Has power brakes and power steering. Still drum all the way around but stops like it has disks (watch video). Tires are not new but plenty of life left in them. All new interior. Very clean and has that "new car" smell. Seat is great. New carpet, new door panels, internals of the doors were rebuilt also. Headliner is beautiful. Watch the video for a better look and sound of the car when you are driving it down the road. Come with a box of extra parts including the front fender badges, extra instrument cluster, and a folder of receipts. Has a clean California title. Watch the video, look at the pictures, ask all the questions you have, then please bid to win. This is a totally awesome car. Everyone gives the thumbs up and asks a million questions. Car is sold in "as is, where is" condition with no warranty nor any implied. Buyer is responsible for the shipping. I will assist the shippers in loading. If you wish, drive it home instead of shipping it. I do not require a deposit but I do require the payment of auctions total to be paid within one week of the auction's end and in the form of a certified check from a larger bank that is located across the nation such as Wells fargo, chase, us bank, bank of america, etc... Please contact me if you have any further questions. The car is located in the 95963 area code right on the Interstate 5 in Northern California.
